I'm confused! I have learnt loads about wicca and witchcraft, but I cannot understand where one begins and the other ends. Wicca is a religion, I know that, and you can be a wiccan witch, or just wiccan, I know that. But what if you are just a witch? Is witchcraft a religion, or is it just a practice on the side of others? I say that, because you can be just a witch, can't you? But then you can also be a christian witch etc...And if you are just a witch, which gods/goddesses do you believe in (if any). *scrambled brains*

1. Wicca is a religion or a "belief system". Wiccans are people that (usually, not in all cases) believe in the duality of the universe in form of Goddess AND God. If you are wiccan you are (usually) also a witch.

2. Witches and therefor witchcraft isn't necessarily a belief. You can be (as you said yourself) a christian witch, a pagan witch, a buddhist witch, an atheistic witch or whatever you name yourself.

Wicca only took off as a religion in the US in the 1960's, whereas some believe Witchcraft has existed for centuries. Witchcraft can be just magickal practice, and is usually considered folk magick. Wicca is a belief system that includes following the Rede, understanding Karmic law, and working with a God and Goddess. While Wicca is a religion Witchcraft can be combined with Wicca or any other religion. If you are "just a Witch" lol you can work with any deities of any belief system you want or none at all.
