Greetings,

Earlier, I performed the Past Life Meditation that Fangedeshana recommended to me, and it gave me some interesting information. Through this, I also found my spirit guide. She's a fae at the moment and asks me not to reveal her name. Well, as for the meditation itself. I was presented with clips of four different past lives... all in first person point of view. The strongest of which clips, longest, and most clear of all, was a video of when I was a faerie in one of my past lives name Jhaelok (Jail-Oak). I played through the clip twice, the second time it was longer. But I could feel the muscles in my body twitching with myself in the clip. My face felt contorted and my eyes started to roll back into my head. At that point, I pulled myself out. Two of the other lives I saw, which may have been two phases of one life... were both warrior-oriented lives. I saw myself killing somone. I felt the sword in my hands. It makes sense that I was a warrior in my past life/lives, for now I am again. I have been practicing martial arts for 6 years and no one can touch me... that I've come across. When I spar, I even hold back on my instructor, I know I shouldn't, but I do. I'm going to try this again tonight.

When I pulled myself out, I could literally see the energy field around the candle I set out for myself, a white, cleansing candle to help with protection and energy. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I could see a golden-green aura around the flame.

Whisper (or is it Jhaelok? Only I can answer this).

I second that. What type of meditation did you use? You experience sounds very interging.

Another member here at MW gave the meditation instructions to me. I'd have to ask her first if I could give it out... *looks for her email address*

Me too! I was never much interested in past life stuff until Flar passed.

A reader did tell me once that I was a country doctor that took eggs and veggies for payment, which is why I have trouble charging for my services.

A guest at our handfasting told me that Flar and I have spent many lives together and will spend many more. I want to do some past life regression to learn how to avoid mistakes in the next one.

You've certainly sparked my curiosity.

Alright, I'll just post it up here... Here it is. Make sure you thank fangedeshana for it, not I.
:)

What you will need -
-Quiet, for myself, I prefer a dark place.
-A candle, I prefer white, for cleansing purposes. Black repels negative energy, so that will work just as well.

Imagine you are on a small dirt track, winding through a field. Walk down this track until you come to the large oak on the horizon. There is a person waiting for you there. They greet you kindly, and gesture for you to follow. Follow them toward the tree, and you see an opening in its trunk. Follow the guide through the makeshift doorway, and into the tree. Once you are inside, you see a long corridor, on one side the rough wooden wall of the oak, and the other, a mirror-like substance reflecting off the wall.
Walk down the corridor, you eyes on the mirror and watch your reflection change as you walk. You are as you are now, then 5 years younger, and again, younger and younger until you see yourself as a newborn. Take another step, towards the end on the mirrored wall and see what you become.

(You should see your past life here, either like a movie, or as if you were in the body still. I saw first person, as if I was in the body, look through their/my eyes in that life, but I know others saw it more like a movie)

When you are ready, come back to the mirror, as an infant and retract your step, getting older, and older until you are the age you are now. The guide will be waiting for you at the exit of the trunk. Follow them out, and thank them for guiding you on your journey. Say your farewell, and head back down the path, back to your body and present time.

Thanks Arrow, I was about to post it here too - I didn't expect so many to be interested lol! I like the candle you added into it. :)

I'm going to be playing around with a recording. I'm trying to sound peaceful, ROFL. I'll post it as an attachment if others want a MP3 of the meditation to guide them? Just no laughing! :p

Haha. Yeah, I added the candle because the mana that the flame ommits will sort of be an outlet for you during your meditative state, so that you aren't completely shut of from an outside source of mana during this time. Plus the color itself, white helps to cleanse and release negative mana.

Cool beans you guys, congrats on the good meditation, too. ^^

I never really understand how to use guided meditation like that.. I tried one once where it was suppose to induce astral project, I listened to the tape I made and I got so relaxed I couldn't feel anything (except me breathing), but as soon as it started to say "And you fly up, up, towards the cieling and beyond it! You soar over your neighborhood and.." I was still all numb but not "out of it", and I shut the tape off. Lol -_- How exactly are they suppose to work ?

I'm guessing Whisper added the candle as a focus item for himself. candle light often as a hypnotic effect on ppl, helping to shift their awareness.

You certainly dont need a candle to do it :)

A LOT of guided meditation on tape just annoy and distract me to be honest, I did this person-to-person with my old mentor, and he voice always was soothing to me. All her meditations were different though, as I believe she picked it up from her guides and everytime she lead a meditation, even if it was for a purpose we did the week before, it would still be different, just accomplish the same outcome.

I believe the words are suposed to give your subconcious a sugestion to help you shift into a state for that purpose of the meditation.

Guided meditation isnt for everyone. If it doesnt suit you, perhaps you should use what I've writen as a starting point, and guideline and let your guides and/or imagination take you through it.

Good. I'm always afraid I'll knock the candle over, and well...
Do we need an actual mirror for this? I know it doesn't say that, but I keep thinking it for some reason.

I'm not sure what you'd use a mirror for, really. Though if you think on it you may find a way to encorperate it into it somehow... though, not needed by far.

And Whisper! I'm so glad you got results! It seems to have worked well :)

I don't think I did this right. All I saw was was a pair of converse hightops.

Well, perhaps those converse hightops are significant to you in one way or another, or perhaps they signify something else?
Be Well.

im a little sceptical about past life regression but would certainly be interested to give it a go.

the thing that i have been wondering about, more so with what is suggested here is that what influence the mind plays on creating the images?

if you were to go to a professional hypnotherapist they would ensure you are in a proper trance state and guide you properly through the regression.

i cant help but think that in a self guided 'regression' like this there is no real way of knowing whether what you see is 'real' or just something your mind is throwing up because you want to see something.

just how much 'value' woulsd you put on these past life regressions like this? have you tried to gather information that can be checked and verfied to establish some sort of authenticity to what you are doing?

fangedeshana
July 13th, 2005, 08:29 PM
Mine wasn't self guided, my mentor took me through it, she watched and saw what went on around me, and thus verified a lot of what I saw.

I would put a lot less 'value' on self-guided if not done with a guide. I always work with my Doorkeeper, as if I go astray, or my imagination runs a bit wild, she will grab me, pull me back and say, "hey, quit mucking around." and keep me on track.

Perhaps reading on past lives to verify them would also help "validate" your exsperience.

R U kidding me of course I want an MP3 of it, I cant imagine trying to listen to a recording of my own voice _tsk_ it would never work. You are so great to do that. And I promise not to laugh. :hehehehe:

Yes, this is a valid point.

I haven't done the past life meditation yet, but I plan to.

I think that I will enjoy whatever images I see and obviously I hope that they have to do with my past life or I wouldn't be doing a past life mediation. But, if they are NOT from a previous incarnation and are from my own subconcious, then I guess it still serves a purpose and may tell me a little bit about myself. . . perhaps a new insight.
