...I have a vocals audition for Fame the Musical tommorow. I'm horrible at singing, but in order to get ANY part in the musical you need to audition for acting, dancing and vocals.

I'm so nervous I could die. Well not literally :D

NO! break a leg is the traditional wish Star.......we dont use LUNG in that context as they are used to sing...and we never joke about harm in any fashion to the lungs...

Suggestions: HEE I am sure you know all these:) But I just wanna help as much as I can. One actor to the next

1. If you forget your lines, dont say sorry can I start over. Say thank you and move on. Directors dont know if the end of your piece was actually there or not, use your mistake to your advantage.

2. PROJECTION! Is a wonderful thing, be sure to be LOUD!

3. Articulate:) try not to speak too fast and the make the syllables in the words clear:)

4. Do not play the QUALITY example: If you are playing an old man, think of how the old man feels what would you be doing in that situation. Do not shake and cry about your aching back and hips (Although that seems to be a problem sometimes lol) The elderly try NOT to act that way. So try your hardest not to:)

Oh and do not get too discouraged about not being able to sing too well. In a musical, it's the acting that really counts. I mean, they will MUCH prefer an actor who can't sing over a singer who can't act.

Besides, I bet you have a nice voice. :p
