View Full Version : No drama, just a public goodbye

There are some who believe people should not make a public goodbye as it is overly dramatic...
However, given certain relationships I have had here and friendships I have made, I feel the need to say goodbye publicly.
Those who are among my friends know how to contact me. Those who aren't and those who have made veiled threats toward me....go butt a stump.
It has been, for the most part, fun....however there are a couple of members who are getting away with all kinds of havoc and I no longer feel the need to deal with them. Yes I have used the Ignore button, but they still contact me.....so see-ya!

How do they contact you if you have put them on ignore? As far as I am aware the ignore function takes care of posts, karma, and even pm's.

Well, computer geek I am! And I just checked it. If you USE the ignore function....I mean REALLY use it. Then it works.

I dunno. Evidently a big secret because no one wants to tell me whats going on.
Ignore function does work, though. :)

Got to say I normaly see if there's drama or chaos going on but I've totaly missed a lot of this that seams to be going on at the moment. It's the heat everyone has janggled nerves I think.
Shame to see anyone letting the one or two ruin it for everyone else. Hope to see you back after you've had time out away from it all.

It's the MF/Blor folks having a tiff.
Nothing to see, just disagreements and such, which has unfortunately pissed off a bunch of people to the point they think they need to leave the rest of the board too.

:(
:ggrief:
I'm on both boards and I still don't know what's going on...
I'm wondering if she means they are contacting her through other means that they'd already had access to before she put them on ignore or something? I don't know, like I said, I'm not sure what's happened myself...
but anyway...
sorry to hear about that, djmixon :hugz: I had a bad couple of days here and didn't log on for a bit, but in my case, it was mostly because I didn't trust my own reactions, though ... (I did lurk anonymously here and there, though! :hahugh: )
...and I understand what you mean about the public goodbye, and not meaning it as drama... I thought about telling everyone what was going on in a temporary goodbye thread, too, but instead just posted it in a thread I was already on that day, because I was afraid people would mistake it as drama if I made a separate thread about it -only because there'd been so many public thread things going on lately... the irony of it, a few people who cared about me made some "don't go" threads anyway, which was very flattering made me feel loved, but then made me go :doh2: oh oh now I've gone and started drama anyway via my friend's threads... I'm really not a drama queen, I'm just an oddball... well okay maybe a little drama queen...who doesn't like a little attention every now and then? 8O
Anyway, about all of the turmoil here and there...it's overlapping, and it's making me wonder if we're all not just picking up on each other's energy, now that I think about how many separate little things have been going on... after all, alot of us on this board seem to be extra receptive to things like that, and I hope that I did not taint any of you with my vibes when I was feeling emotional a couple of days ago, and I'm gonna try to send a big ol' shot of postive vibes across the board to make up for it now!

Actually, it seems to me that all around are in desperate need of a little perspective. Nothing relating to MW, or MF, or BP, is worth getting THAT upset about.

I only am here because someone asked me elsewhere to make a comment.
the ignore feature does work. what does not work is when the person makeing trouble contacts you outside the internal messaging system. the person in question (and now that person has recruited a couple of other miscreants) has contacted me using contact information I posted to help Joanne...or they got my contact info from my profile prior to me removing it.
the people who have pushed me to this decision have done so via making threats to my financial and personal well-being. Not enough to press charges, but the main person - and you know who you are - is the kind of person that I would not trust further than I could pick him up and throw him...or his buds.
So, despite my desire to be here, this person has intruded into my personal space and make comments designed to create terror/unease that I feel it is my obligation first to my loved ones to leave here. I have also contacted the proper authorities to keep an eye on this behavior and the guilty party will be watched by his superiors when the time is right to make a legal move.
As I said, the persons involved have been addressed personally, so if you haven't, you aren't the problem.
As long as those people are here, though, I pray you will all be cautious in your interactions.
As for the cause of the tiff, yes is started as a Middling Faire business decision...but those affected decided to make it a public drama and make baseless accusations.....and other things (I will not get into specifics as it is not neccessary).
Tzh, I thought you were part of BP...am I wrong?

Especially when it's only theory in practice anyway. :geez:
