I love to watch "good" storms. The ones that bring much rain and fury but no damage or harm. I miss storms. We are about to have the monsoons start here in Arizona but they typically damage things. Love rain. Love the scent, feel, taste and touch of rain. I miss rain.

I absolutely love them, as long as they don't turn into the dreaded "T" word....I hate those! In many ways, they remind me of sandstorms... :blushake:

Love them! :D In fact they even put me in a "passionate" mood, which is a source of laughter amongst my friends...

I love watching them from afar, especially when they are approaching over the sea. But I once lived in the top flat of a rickety old building which had once been an observatory. It was the highest building in the street and during thunderstorms I lived in constant fear of leaving this incarnation much sooner than planned!

I like them unless i am in an exposed area outside and then my imagination runs away with me about being struck by lightning.

oohh.. we just had the most awesome storm here. the lightning was so bright it was blinding, and so frequent.. it was like being in a nightclub with strobe lights. and the thunder shook the whole house.

I adore storms

but then.. the Lord of Storms is one of my beloveds

I love my Uncle Set

I think it's been dry for quite a few people this year. We just got a god dose of rain about two weeks ago, but before that was about two and a half weeks of no rain.

We had a small thunderstorm last night. It was beautiful! I love storms as long as I'm not outside in them because people in my family tend to draw lightening to them and unfortunately I ended up with that gift too.
Four people in my family have been killed by lightening so far(that I know of). The thunder just sings me to sleep though. :fpraise:

I enjoy them...except when property damage is imminent. We have the "dirty side" of Hurricane Emily to look forward to next week, and I think our forecast is for rain for the next ten days or so...should be nice weather for snuggling.

Gotta love 'em...power outages, trees down, flooded streets, lots of work for me at the hospital...people in Augusta just can't drive in the rain without carnage ensuing...one of our doctors son was killed day before yesterday when his car hydroplaned on I 20 during a t-storm...

Love them! I especially enjoy running around a garden barefoot during them, but I've only done that once, two summers ago. Wrote a poem about it though. ;)

Yeah, I love the sound of thunder! It makes me excited! And I love the way lightning looks, too. It's gorgeous! :D

The only time I do not like thunder storms is when the thunder is loud it messes your hearing for awhile and when it the house shakes.

I absolutely love them! Especially the energy building up right before the storm starts... it is truly magical.

As a child, I would look forward to nighttime thunderstorms. It was so great to fall asleep to these magnificent light and sound shows from Mother Nature! Unfortunately we hardly ever have thunderstorms in Vancouver. They are one of the very few things I miss from France.

Having yet another storm..this is great! We're suppose to have them all weekend, and I'm looking forward to them! Our power was out for a time, and it was cool...the dogs don't like them, except the Yorkie...he wants to go outside(so like his momma!)and play! :)

Thanks everyone! Keep the thoughts coming! :colorful:

Thanks! It is from Kushiel's Chosen. I own the three books but have only read the first one so far, but I really enjoyed it, and can't wait to read the next two!
And credit goes to mystic_peacock, she showed me where to get it. :)
And I'd love to see your tattoo!

:DSorry for going off topic, so here's a relevant comment:
I've only heard one clap of thunder so far this summer and saw no lightning, and that makes me sad. I adore watching those storms... and the rain that can come with them!! I love it when rain falls so hard that it's really, really loud!
We were supposed to get a T&L storm yesterday, but it didn't happen. :(

A stirring in the fish tank. A cleansing of the water. The mixing up of the layers of fluids and airs. A recharging of the batteries. A light show to show how its REALLY done and not those "wanna be" things you see on tv... in movies or on stage with a good band playing. All of the above and none of them. To watch a performance costs you nothing to be a part of the show may or may not cost you dearly. All the worlds a stage and your not always sure which part your playing... which act your in... nor when in the script your called upon to do something spectacular. Just try to do your best... smile to the audience and try not to trip over the scenery to often. :-)

we are having quite the storm here, Lightning every couple of seconds, deep rolling thunder, and Heavy rain... I wish I could be outside to just let it fall on me
