Greetings all
My name is Bill and I'm brand new here and wanted to say hi to everyone. 49 year old male from north California who briefly had been involved with the Wiccan faith. I have spent years researching religions and their history and I can't tell you how wonderful I found the Wiccan belief's to be. My experience with a coven unfortunately was short due to it's break up but I look forward to beginning again and hopefully will turn to many of you as well as a new friend for guidance.

Hi Bill.....very glad to have you...I'm rather new as well. I'm 40ish (lol) and have been a solitary/pictish/druidress for my whole life......Practicing steady for about 5 years.
Funny you're from NC - had a dream last spring (in a nutshell) that my mother revealed to me that "part of you was born in NC" she said.....Found out later that my ancestory may have ported there on the shores of the Carolina's from Ireland and that also one of my great grandfather's (part Hopewell indian we think) came from there. Strange how the line speaks to us after death on this plane huh?

I'm being picky here, but for the sake of a new pagan (and the fact I find terminology being misued or confused very irritating and a bit of a worry), I feel it nessisary to point out that magic, healing, crystals, candles, runes, tarot, etc aren't technically tied to the Wiccan faith. You can do none of those and as long as you reconise and respect the God and Goddess, the earth, and follow the Rede you are Wiccan. Though, many Wiccans do do some kind of divination, are interested in crystals and healing, and a lot also do magic it's by no means nessisary to do so, or to think you have to to be Wiccan.

Um, regardless. WELCOME! I hope you enjoy your stay at MW! :) Hopefully you find it helpful! Feel free to ask a lot fo questions, with the ammount of people here, you should get a fair ammount of help with watever you need.
