Merry meet.
I am a solitary and I have introduced my brother into Wicca. I am very interested in starting a coven so that my brother and I can better enjoy the world of Wicca. I was just wondering what guidelines and ectetra you need to follow when forming a coven. Also, if anyone has any tips, hints, help, advice, recommendations, and ect. please, feel free to share.

Blessed be,
Vedel

I'd probably sugest you two stay a study and practice group together, you dont have to start a coven to study, learn and do ritual together of you want to. Or atleast until you find more who you get along with to start a coven with more than two members.

There are a lot of books on starting and maintaining covens out there you could look up, though I can't think of titles and authors off the top of my head.

I second that!
Many covens evolve from study groups after much time studying together. I think trying to start a coven right off would cause you two to split apart, because running a coven (and one of you WOULD do that) is a full-time job. And it's more than just hanging out and studying the Craft - you need supplies, ritual space, a training plan, a practiced mentor (yes, you do), and much more.

I reccomend you pick Amber K.'s book Coven Craft, which should then proceed to scare the crap out of you when you realize the amount of work involved.

Lastly, a coven of less than three members is simply not viable. (Besides, you need a priestess! Can't have a coven without a priestess. :wanders off muttering: )
