It hasn't rained here since June; seems that everyone is absolutely desperate for a break in stifling humidity and relief for the parched earth. So of course, I got to thinking...
I know next to nothing about rain dances or any sort of rituals to bring/ ask for rain--it seems that everything I've heard I've managed to forget. And I'm quite curious, now I've thought about it, about the history of this, and what everybody thinks. Is there a ritual anyone's actually done?
I'm not planning on doing anything myself, it simply seems it would be fascinating to know about.

IT sounds like it actually might be a good idea to do one in your area. I can't say I've ever done one, but all the stuff I've heard is pretty forward.. Just ask for rain and DANCE! lol ^^

Don't forget drums and rainsticks also check out Aboriginal rain working for this kind of thing. I recon if anyone is going to be an expert on this they would be.
