I did a search and the only thread I found about spiderwebs didn't have anything to do what happened to me so here I am.
So here's what happened! I was walking through Horn Creek (an extremely active park in my area) last night with one of my friends. We walked only about two minutes into it when we decided to turn back. As we were walking back it felt like I was walking through spiderwebs, but my friend didn't feel it and we had just walked this exact trail just moments before, not nearly long enough for spiders to start making their webs across it. I kept wiping at my face but continued walking then it felt like a single thread of web went across my forehead and something rather large hit the area of my third eye. This weird web experience has happened once before while in there, and both times I am the only one that felt it but when my friend put her hand near me she said she could feel the webs around me.
So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what this could be? I did a small reading about it at the urging of my friend and it told me not to ignore it, that it was very important and someone was trying to tell me something. That just left me confused. So any help is very appreciated!!!
thanks in advance!!
Panth.

I heard once that when you walk through a spider-web, but there isn't one there, it's a fairy's way of greeting you. I get that a lot too, and that's when I figure it is.

Have you been bitten by any radioactive spiders lately? If so, you may be producing the web yourself... :hehehehe: ...if not, then I don't know...

That is strange and I have had a similar incident as you mentioned and my friend only felt them around me and not on them too. Very strange indeed.

KatieBear- Thanks, that could be it. I had never heard that before, that's very interesting.
Rick- Lmao! That's awesome. But gross... lol. I don't think I'd like being a spider person.
Shalaye- I'm glad to hear I am not the only one that has experienced and am not totally crazy!

I don't know when the spiders in your country usually hatch... but when they do, some species will spin long long lines of spiderweb, which are supposed to be taken by the wind, to allow the spiders to float to their next destination. For a non-flying animal, it's a very neat way of expanding procreation area.

Eew, I would have rathered continue thinking it wasn't real spiderweb. Thanks a lot Xentor. :P
Seriously though, thanks for the mundane reasoning! It's always nice to have a little common sense thrown in! But still... I hate spiders...*shudders*

Have you had any other connections/experiences with spiders?

As a witch, to me what you expereinced could mean a couple of things. The 'nicer' one is that spiders are making contact with you, they may be your Familiar. I would do some meditation, trance, whatever you do to make a connection.

Very cool experience! Don't be freaked out. Before I found my path, I was a little freaked out by spiders too. Now, they are an important part of my spiritual connection to life. Hope you learn to love 'em! Sounds like they're lovin' you.

Athene- I have never had any other experiences/connections with spiders. I'm kind of afraid of them though. I think I will meditate on it though and see what happens.
Gabriel- That sounds interesting, maybe you could give me an idea of how you work with them?
Thanks both of you!

I decided to do a little searching on the internet about spider and I found this:
http://www.sheps.com/ancestors/soulsofnature/spider.html

If spider has come into your life, ask yourself some important questions. Are you not weaving your dreams and imaginings into reality? Are you not using your creative opportunities? Are you feeling closed in or stuck as if in a web? Do you need to pay attention to your balance and where you are walking in life? Are others out of balance around you? Do you need to write? Are you inspired to write or draw and not following through? Remember that spider is the keeper of knowledge of the primordial alphabet. Spider can teach how to use the written language with power and creativity so that your words weave a web around those who would read them.
I said yes to all those questions. I think I know why spider has come into my life. lol. Thanks everyone for your help.

I know what you mean. It very well could be what Xentor said. Or perhaps some type of nerve stimulation? I'm not sure. I've had it happen, I just brush whatever I feel is there away and hope the feeling goes away. I've never put much thought into it except the usual "Thats odd..".

I don't know what path you're on. But a small word of caution - be careful not to apply new-agey concepts onto Nature. These can be fun or you can use some points as a springboard for further ideas, but Nature should be met face to face, not through contrived definitions.

I have grown to love spiders lately. I have recently had the idea of using old spider webs for any spell dealing with protection or binding. I also notice that they are flocking near me. I have so many spiders in my house I can't even count them all.

Athene- No worries there, i'm not into New Agey stuff. lol. I totally agree with you that nature should be met face to face, just working my up to having the courage to even look at a spider lol. *shudder* I can now look at pictures of them without a problem though, so next step, a real one.
Aeres- That sounds..interesting. I don't think I would want that happening to me though, that's for sure! But that's a great idea for use of old spider webs.
