How do you know

I had a dream about a nurse who was a ghost but looked very much living and as she was trying to stab me with a needle filled with yellow liquid I noticed her face was round and chubby and covered in acne.
How does your mind just make up something like acne? Does it just choose little details like that on a whim? :whatgives :tub:

hmm I would say that our subconscous picks up these things during the day or over the years..and yes most of them have symbolism to them because it is imformation we are choosing to recieve..however usually little features such as acne are picked up subconsciously without knowing it...many little things go unnoticed..if we start to pay attention to them things will become more clear to us and we will start to control our subconscious and learn to know when it is picking such things up..

Alot of these things are of the "shadow self" in nature.....How do YOU feel about acne? How do you feel about someone like this having power of you in wake state? Possibly iisues/things we need to face.... The mind is also full of interpretation when it comes to how we see our everyday lives in aspect of who's controlling us and if we are actually in control in our present time.
I also think its important that people be aware that guides also apppear to us in our dream state. These are people you don't recognize or have never seen before....Was there anyone in dream time with you?

Yes my boy friend was trying to help me get her off me.
I just dont understand why my dream would put acne on someones face.

It either intensified the threatening nature of the person - or, if you have felt sorry for people afflicted with acne, including yourself, it may be a symbol to be or not be sympathetic to the person or issue that the nurse represents.

Is there a medical professional or other helping person that you don't like or trust?

Freud believed that the unconscious invents symbols to mask issues that are too painful or shameful to deal with.
