Hey everyone,

I just went out on my back deck to see the most amazing site in the night sky. It looks a little like the Northern Lights, but we were thinking it may be something that exploded in space. At first it was light blue/green, and then it turned this vibrant red at the center and and filled the sky like a fire cracker. Anyone else see this anywhere else in the world??

AURORA BLAST: A fast-moving coronal mass ejection (CME)
that blasted away from the Sun on Nov. 4th swept past our planet
at 0150 UT on Nov 6th (8:50 p.m. EST on Nov 5th); the impact has
triggered widespread auroras. Sky watchers as far south as
Bishop, California (magnetic latitude 43 degrees) have spotted vivid
Northern Lights. Stay tuned for updates.

If it's dark where you live, go outside and look
north. You may be surprised by what you see!
for the rest of the story go here .......
Love and Light

I know you would have some idea what it was :) I have never seen anything like it. It's passed by now. What a sight! If you find anymore websites that give more info on these "Aurora Blasts" please let me know, I would like to know more about them.
Thanks again for the info Swannie
Blessings,

I saw it here in Michigan! :D Tonight there was an Emerald Sky! :D Get it? Actually, I saw more red then green, but it was soooo beautiful. I grabbed my camera and tripod as soon as I got home. Hopefully some of the pics will turn out!

well I left my house at 10:30 last night and as I was walking to get my bus, I could see the clear starry sky and the moon... I looked to the north and I saw a huge reddish tint in the sky, sorta magenta... It was really awesome to look at...

I am in NJ so I saw it here very clear....
I hope it is visable again tonite :)
