I love taking pictures. Not professionally but just regular photos to put in the photo album. I don't take nearly enough of them but I do love to take pictures whenever I get the chance. I love to flip through the photo album and giggle and smile at past memories. :veryweird

Having lost everything once in my life(tornado when I was 10) includung all our family pictures, I don't HAVE to have pictures. Its nice to have them but even 20 years after loosing everything, I don't worry too much about pictures. I store lots of memories. Having a child has made me take more pictures but its still an iffy thing.

I like taking pictures. My camera is all wonky though. I need to buy a new one :)

Pictures are soooo important! I just wish I was better at archiving and taking care of them. That needs to seriously be a habit and project of mine soon! Argh!

My visual memory is piss poor, possibly in part because I don't rely on my eyes as much as most people do. Pictures are fun, but they don't mean very much to me. I prefer video with sound or a keepsake that triggers my tactile memory.
(I'm not blind, in case you're wondering. I prefer to describe it as impaired-and-lazy.)

I love taking pictures and sharing them. We have such fun looking at our old pictures and remember things we had forgotten about. We don't go anywhere without our camera.

I love taking pictures and keeping them and looking back on them. Pictures are very important to me. Plus, I'm very vain so I like to take pics of myself too, as you may have noticed around the boards ;)

I love and need pictures. It may be an irrational fear, but I fear that one day I'll won't be able to remember things. That I'll need pictures to remind me. Photos are glimpses into my family's history. So if for some reason I'm unable to talk about our history, at least there will be something they can see.
Then again, they're good for a giggle. /runs off and looks for the one with her hubby in a dress :heybaby:

I am a picture fanatic. Every time I go home for a visit I go through all my mother's old pics. It's gotten to where all the family now send me old pictures they come across.I treasure the memories and history in those photos..

I voted yes.
I take lots of pictures of my son, because when he's older, I want to be able to look back and see how little he was when he came home, and at 6 months (which is in 2 days BTW - crazy!!) and a year, etc etc.
Even now I look back at when we brought him home and am amazed at how much he has already grown!

Pictures are important to me. I'm an immigrant and I've never even met the majority of my family. Photographs are the only way we "see" each other.

Nope!! I am not the sentimental type..at all. I dont keep stuff either.
What I feel inside is what matters to me.
Pictures are things..things dont matter. I am a very feeling person. :)
My grandmother was the world to me. I have only one pic of her and I dont even know where the heck it is!! But I carry her love in my heart everyday of my life. Thats all I care about.

Not really, I took a photo class for a semester and dropped it as soon as the semester ended. I hated taking pictures and I can't stand looking at normal people's photos anymore although some professional ones can be interesting. I wouldn't go out of my way to see any though.

YES.
Just call me the photo phreak. I have two "shoe boxes" choc-full of photos. One box is just doubles, the other is awaiting an album.
I have over a dozen or so albums. Some full, some not. I have series of photos that require two albums. I even have an album for one of my cats. It's not full yet.
I have to have photos. A year or so ago, my dad sent me old photos of me as a kid. I didn't remember ANY of the stuff in the photos. We're talking a box of them. I have CRS. I NEED photos. If I don't snap a picture, I won't remember it. I take pictures of anything too. Not just "momentus events" I'll make pictures of flowers, a bug, some rusty thing I found in the woods, anything.
I have a digital camera now, as all the film I hoarded got too expensive. Even at only 19cents a photo at wal-mart, I've spent $15+ on singles, (and a handful of doubles).
I went to a cousin's 7 year old birthday party. I took over 101 photos. (That's how many I kept)
I went to wal-mart to have them developed. I had those, the 101, got doubles of those so 202 (for her mom), then a few triples (for another mom), not to mention some of me (for my sis), some of my dogs, the house, the yard, our new ducks. So... about 225 or more pictures.
Crap, I gotta pick those up today. I counted about 300 photos on my print out. I caused a paper jam, oh and I ran out of ink on a few places. :bigredblu
Let's see... 300 x .19 = $57
Yep... I'm gonna be broke... :collapse:
eta: I just realized. If I took 101+ photos of my cousin's kid's 7year old birthday party.... Imagine when I have kids of my own. Poor things will be blinded from the camera flashes.
