this one from the Caulddron is pretty good: Lost Item spell (http://www.ecauldron.com/spells/lost02.php)
Usually, it seem, to me, the most effective lost item spells involve focusing a great deal of energy on the object in question--through visualization and desire, and a chant of some kind that makes sense to you.....dunno why...just seems to work that way!

Flip a glass or mug upside down and place it on the highest shelf in your home, with a promise to your household spirits to fill it with something good - wine, beer, mead, milk and honey, whatever - if they help you find your lost item. Never fails me.

I like to visualize myself and the object, with a silver cord connecting us. Then I visualize the cord getting shorter and shorter until the object is in my hand, or right next to me if it's too big for that. Lately I've been using this to find out just how lost something is. I just picture me, the object, and the cord...if the cord is short, I know it's not far. If it's long, then I know it's going to take some work to find. A few weeks ago we were driving home from Denver (9-10 hr trip) with the cats. We stopped at a gas station, and when we came back to the car we noticed one of them was missing. We looked all over, scared to death we'd find a cat-pankcake, with no luck. :bug: :yikes: :bug: I stopped to do this visualization, and saw the cat in my arms. I knew he couldn't be far then...turns out he'd just crawled under the seat. We never would have looked there if not for the visualization, because we both swore he was too fat to fit under there. :smileroll

If you ever believe something/someone (like faeries) have taken your item, leaving them an offering can encourage the thing to be put back.
