See, this is why we badly need a Gaelic COT class, so that we can all take part in the conversation! :steppy:

I love Gaelic! It's beautiful to me and just hearing it makes me homesick. Funny thing is I've never been to Ireland!! :foh:
I did have 2 books and tapes to go with one of the books, but sthe stupid hurricanes.....well they're gone now. I've found places online to learn from. They're ok, sometimes I can't hear them that well though.

Haha! Funny...there are actually a number of online classes you could take, with audio, of course. I have looked at a couple, but I like having a teacher better.

Ta. Is mac leinn me. Ta me i mo chonai i Naoimh Pol, 's ta fiche no triocha "scolaire" anseo. Gaeltacht Minnesota is ainm duinn. Is maith liom an canuint Chois Fharraige, ach ta cupla Donegal agus cupla Mumhan linn (and I'm pretty sure that last clause was grammatically atrocious, that's what I get for skipping class like I'm doing tonight!).

"Yes. I'm a student. I live in St. Paul, and there are twenty or thirty "students/scholars" here. We call ourselves Gaeltacht Minnesota. I like Cois Fharraige's dialect, but there are of couple of Donegal and a couple of Munster speakers with us."
