I don't really know, I suppose it is possible. I think the writers of the bible smoked something to get those visions, particularly in Revelation.

I'm sure there was some sort of something around back then, but there's no mention in the Bible or other historical texts/images of holy men smokin' out. That was more the Native American peoples' schtick.

Tho, the Turks and Persians had those hookah thingies (and Indians (from India)) also had them as well, but those inventions were maybe a couple of hundred years later...when the Arabs became less tribal and more unified through Islam...I think anyway. My history is fuzzy in the early-AD's...

Forgive me, but in the unlikely event that someone could come up with an ancient document that stated Jesus liked his anointing oil spiked with weed, would it matter?

Granted, maybe you could start a trend that mellowed out some of the more extreme sects of Christianity, but I'll bet the odds wouldn't make the effort worth it.

Jesus of NAzereth was a real person but as for the son of god I doubt it. He was probably more of a prophet.

Dunno. Back when I was Catholic, our priest may have claimed to change wine into the blood of Christ, but he never mentioned anything about turning shrubs in the The Holy Herb.

As for use in oils and medicine, who knows? I don't see any particular reason why Jesus wouldn't have used marijuana, though. Jesus wasn't above having a good time, and I doubt they would've had the same hang-ups about weed in Biblical times as some do today.

Haven't a clue and honestly no one but Jesus can say wether or not he did. And since it's okay to talk to god but not okay for him to talk to you I have a feeling we're not going to be hearing the answer to this one anytime soon.

I've been having arguments with crazy people about this... the parties will not be named or grouped but they are dead set that eating marijuana is a medicine that Jesus prescribed... not that Jesus smoked it, or used it to get high, but as a medicine or holy oil... *shrugs* more fuel for MW to chat about really

i know about the opium. heroine was invented by a german pharma company though. it was used against head aches, coughs etc and because it was almost omnipotent, they called it Heroin (female hero)

until they found out how addictive it was and than it got banned


as for weed, i am refering to indioa because in german language, the cannabis also is called indian hemp
