could I please have some links/resources and maybe posts here about Europe from around the 1400s-the REnassaince and what the culture, religion, society, and arts and literature was like?
I know that printing created a big boom. And, people went back to the Roman and Greek arts and Literature. I also know that in the 14th century, the black plague/death happened. Supposedly it started by rats from Asia. I think the Jewish were a scapegoat accused of poisoning wells and a type of holocaust happened in Germany in I htink 1349.
thanks

I recently finished Régine Pernoud's Those Terrible Middle Ages! It is by no means a definitive history so much as it is an easy read. But it does really makes you think about the Middle Ages and what we were taught of it. (She also wrote one called The Crusaders you might be interested in.)

You want that for ALL of Europe? Because every nation was different... not to mention the fact that many of today's nations didn't even exist yet. So are you just wanting a general overview of things that could have affected Everyone? Because this is a LOT of stuff to cover... I've got a few links you can start with though:

Hello there,
my speciality of the middle ages is particularly the history of St Joan of Arc (1412 to 1431). If you wish to ask me anything i will be happy to answer if i can. The subject is huge so i'll respond if you've got any questions. Bye for now, Vince, Scotland.
