Last night I had this dream. . . and it was so weird because it was like. . . I thought I was awake. I'm not sure where I was, I was with some friends. . . you too, MistoftheSea. . . . and. . .

weird stuff was happening. People kept hearing these huge BOOMs. . .like a bomb had hit.. . . yet it was like nothing was happening. . . but SOMETHING was happening. . . like, san fransico. . . weird things were happening. I can't describe it. SOMETHING bad had happened. . . but I don't have a word for it. Not death and not destruction in the physical sense. . . but cities obiliterated, anyway, only. . . everything was standing, and the people were standing. . . .

but it was like. . . I don't know. I have no clue. Maybe the damage was spiritually/astrally? I don't know. . . I couldn't understand what was going on

except the end of the world.. . . just starting. . .

has anyone else been dreaming these things? I admit. . . it's the first dream that has really scared me in a while.

I have been having dreams about this since I was very young. Do not worry, it's not the beginning of the end. It is the beginning of rebirth. Many will die, cities may be destroyed but the after effects will be well worth it. That is assuming that the dreams I have been having for the better part of 14 yrs are prophetic.
If not then who knows what will happen, we just have to take it day by day. Dreams that we are having now are more than likely just our subconcious fears being brought out.

Personally I think sometimes people look for deep meaning in bad dreams when in reality all they need to do is magickally cleanse their bedroom once in awhile :D

LOL! that could very well be. . . put more salt around my bed! ^_~

I just am upset because I can't shake it, and I feel like I don't want to leave the house today. (normally I don't ANYWAY hehe stupid english class) but I just have this weird "keep an eye out behind your back" feeling. . . I keep jumping.

well. . . I'm heading off to class anyway. Wish I could shake this darn dream.

Yeah I've had a few semi apocolyptic dreams myself. I don't really put much weight behind them tho'.
A friend of mine lived in san fransisco for a while. He used to tell me that he had more than a few earthquake dreams. When he talked to his local friends, he was told that they had a few themselves.
I think when your living with the knowledge that a large catastrophe is possible, the anxiety can creep out in various ways, including nightmares.

I dreamed I was building a gigantic theme park, and I had to build a big roller coaster for my guests to ride on, but no matter how hard I tried I COULDN'T MAKE THE ENTRANCE LINE UP WITH THE FOOTPATH and everyone was complaining they couldn't find the exit and no matter how hard I tried there wasn't enough space to put the merry go round in and it was AWFUL that's the last time I play Roller Coaster Tycoon right before bed time

But aren't nightmares supposed to be the higher mind's way of getting your attention to get you to realize something? Maybe there's some sort of symbolism in the dream images and situations that could be helpful to their lives or something... I'm just going off on a tangent though. I totally believe in the existence of prophetic dreams...I've had quite a few myself. I'm just saying maybe these type of dreams serve some sort of purpose, like a wakeup call of sorts. I for one have been having terrible dreams lately, more emotionally painful and heartwrenching than anything catastrophic, but still I'd kill to know what they're trying to tell me.

um... if I may enter my perspective here,

there are some major planetary movements going on this month, perhaps the "Boom" sounds are shifts in astral portals being BLOWN OPEN ...I have been haveing some really creepy dreams too, and as Kad has stated YES dreams are our higher self's way of contacting us.... and as Myst has also reminded us of a very important point... we may need to do some astral cleanup around the home...

as The Theologian (or however she spells it) has stated...
it is a rebirth...

the planets are moving to facilatate major Positive allignments...and there could be some negative energy lingering about, (expectedly so after that dreadfull Pluto-Saturn opposition)

if you rake the leaves in your yard....use that activity to restore the phychic shield around the outside of the home..

inside the home...same thing, the broom, vacum cleaner and even the dust cloth can be magical tools if you concecrate them..

I welcome this change, as it marks the start of wonderfull new opprotunity...Ive started to see it already with my new hours at work and new friends..

Sometimes. And sometimes you're supposed to realize there's too much negative stuff floating around your home and it's detrimental. Been there, done that!

People also have to keep in mind that dreams are your mind's way of playing with ideas and thoughts you have throughout the day. Thus your dreams can be prophetic but most often they're just your mind playing make believe with stuff that happened that day.

That is why I always tell people how important it is to keep a dream journal....

sometimes the symbols wont be immediately clear untill after a few days, a few more dreams come through to help piece it together...

and I have to agree too with the cleanseing especially this month . Get rid of the residue that has been left by those bad planetary line ups, and you will see results..I garuntee it

Oh yeah! Energies from fights or days when you had a bad day at school/work hang around like dust bunnies, curling up under your bed and into the nooks and crannies. Cleansing regularly will really make a huge difference. It's like a staticky tv in the background - get rid of the static and you will feel happier, calmer, more able to concentrate, less irritated and of course then less likely to get in fights.

well, dreams are hard to tack down in a scientific context, but generally people dream about things that happened in the past day, since the last time they slept. many researchers theorize that this is necessary to the brian to process images and memories into the long-term memory.

there's a really neat discovery channel special on it, that shows the effects of sleep deprivation - it shows army snipers going without sleep, and losing their entire short-term memory after staying up for three days straight!

Two, heres the most apoctaliptic. I was going to the pharmasy to get three prascriptions filled, outside I found a group of teenagers around my age 'hanging out', so we talked for a while and then they disbanded, I realized one had taken my prescription bag so i chased after them. His mother picked me up while i was trying to find his house and drove me to their home, I had a talk with the kid and we pretended to study so I wouldnt get him in any trouble. In the living room their was a baby sitting in a bouncer, except the bouncer was a portable heater (like a space heater) and sleeping so soundly. The kids sister was running around and his mother was doing something in the kitchen, I was freaking out because of the baby in the heater, his mother calmly picked the bby up and gave him a bottle. I ran from the house after his father came home, without the prascription, and outside i saw the moon wolf. the moon had become a wolf (a blue wolf head was coming out of the moons body) and was howling at itself... I turned around still looking at the sky and saw two of the most destructive forces I have every witnessed in one form and an old white man with a long white beard (looked kind of like the chess master), a tornado of lightning, A funnel shaped cloud spurting lightning from its body, at the point of a finger from the chess master. Some one cursed and I woke up.
Then the next night I received a tool (which I want to create:)) so beautiful and perfect for me... It was so vivid I could describe the scent of the wood, the colors of the tiniest detail, and every cut and mark of it, I can even feel it in my hands.
So I did have an apoctaliptic dream, but probably just the final remnence of the last shred of (negetive) programing that I still had to remove... :) (a personal appacolips:p) I am pritty sure it is gone now. But it was so vivid, if it werent for the serealistic symbilsm I would have sworn I was awake...

I always have work dreams, and it's makin' me crazy! Like, even if I don't remember my dream, I know it was about work because I wake up with polka music playing in my head. I work in a nursing home and polkas are just the "bomb", you know. I've always had work dreams, no matter what the job was, but never so consistantly. aargh.

Well, whenever I have weird dreams, I either shrug them off, or try to figure something out about them. Most likely I shrug them off because, well, I'm always having weird dreams, hehe.

I think around September 11th, everyone probably had some sort of weird dreams, as well.

I remember having one where I was at school with my friends and at lunch time, I went with my friends to sit over by the T-Building. Then these planes flew over head, and I heard some screaming. I looked up to see the planes dropping these bombs on my school ground. I watched in fear, waiting for my life to end, waiting for the explosion, and I saw that instead of explosive bombs, they were...they were blood bombs. It was so bizarre. They were large capsules that, when hitting the ground, would burst open and spill gallons and gallons and gallons after gallon after gallon of blood everywhere. And I backed up to a wall, in which my friends were hiding behind, and I was all alone. They were behind me, calling my name, and I was on the ground in front of it, standing before them as a wall myself, sheilding them from the blood that was drenching me, staining me, and the sidewalk I stood on.

I didn't really tell anyone of it, only a few people, and kind of forgot about it. Now that I bring it up I go "what the hell?"

There's almost always something symbolic in a dream, but some of my dreams I think are my brain just trying to get a chuckle out of me...

dream in darkness or in regular light? Also, I have found that some bad dreams are indicative of a sickness in the body.

I've been having bad/odd dreams for awhile. However, I believe mine are stress related and nothing more than my brain trying to sort through all the little things swirling around in my head.
They do however, tend to involve large insects, which, I could do without.
