I dont follow astrology much other than the basics. I had a chart thing done up once. The results said I would die young...I dont care for that. Plus I figure everyone in the world that was born the same date and time is going to die young? She (the person that did it) just asked for time and date of birth.
Is there any stats if this stuff like your lifespan...comes true?
Shouldnt more info be needed for a better picture?
Its always been in the back of my mind...the dying young stuff.

technically, it is possible. Death isn't something that most modern astrologers look into because it's so fatalistic and the amount of indicators to predict an early death involve extensive studies of the person's chart.
Odds are that she told you you're going to die young because of a single aspect. Many of the 'beginner' astrology books give such a interpetation for things such as having Pluto in the first house or Pluto in harsh aspect to your chart ruler. There are a lot other ways to interpet the position other than 'you'll die young'.
I've got Pluto in my 4th house. According to 'cookbook', I'm going to die along with a long and drawn out sickness.
As for the astrologer that did the first reading: yes, if she asked for the time, she most definately should have asked for the place. Time doesn't mean squat if you don't have the place to reference it by.

I'm not going to survive childhood.
I know this, because the ancient rules for length of life in a chart show the following indicators:
1. My Sun (which is my vitality as it's a daytime chart) is conjunct my South Node
2. My Sun is in the 8th house of death
3. The ruler of my Sun is in his fall, and squares my Sun
4. The term ruler of my Sun is Mars - a malefic, and in a cadent house
5. The ruler of my Ascendant doesn't help - that *is* the Sun
6. The term ruler of my Ascendant is Mars
There's therefore not enough vitality in my chart for me to reach adulthood, and I will die before I'm twelve if I'm lucky - if I'm unlucky, I won't survive weaning and will die as a baby.
However - I'm now 45. I've bucked my chart - yay!!
This doesn't mean the astrology was wrong - length of life is a very useful medieval technique, and without modern medicine I would have died as a very young baby. In the old days, a lack of vitality meant you died. Today, a lack of vitality means you need medical intervention, which you may very well survive.
