Dancing is certainly a magickal act. Any physical act releases energy from the body which is the kind of energy used for magick. When you dance, excerise, or any kind of movement, you can just feel the power from within. This kind of power is unexplainable, you must experience it for yourself.

If you are a solitary witch, there are no particular dance steps to follow. I just dance and let my spirit soar!!! In groups sometimes the spiral dance is used.

Sometimes witches perform spells or rituals and then perform the magick of raising magickal energy. At the same time, moving in a clockwise circle around the altar. Doing this and smelling the beautiful aroma of the incense, visualizing and chanting, is truly a magickal experience. You become so attuned with yourself, the deities, and the Universe that it is completely overwhelming. Some witches actually collapse to the ground.

Dancing is used to raise magickal energy and to attune yourself with the deities of nature. Feel free to dance anyway you wish. Let your mind go and your spirit soar. Dance with the Moon, the Wind, the Trees, the Stars. Move anyway that nature moves you, there are no rules.
