Tonight I was chatting with an old friend/ex-boyfriend onlline ...it was great to hear from him! We crossed paths many years ago and he was one of the first people to try and show me the path that I now find myself on! He helped me to clear up some regrets I had about not begining my travel on my current path way back when..instead helped me to understand that it simply was not ment to be at that time! This can be a hard lesson to learn...a life of regret is not a life...we all must learn at our own pace...and discover what is meant for us when the time is right! I look forward now to more conversations with him...and this time I'll be ready to "hear"!!
Just thought I'd share!!:)

it seems that a day gets brighter and the load of life lighter when you hear from an old friend kind of unexpectedly.

an old quote (doesnent really fit, but oh well)
Pals are pals,
Friends are friends,
But buddies sleep together...
Remember a true friend will not judge you, scorn you, and will ALWAYS be there for you, looking past what others say about you, to see the real you, no matter what. You may drift apart, not talk, even get into some fights, but in the end, you will stand shoulder to shoulder in support.
Peace

HELP!! This old friend/ex-boyfriend I've been in touch is now expressing how he felt/feels about me! He told me I was smart to have gotten away from him and how much he's been hurt...keep in mind that our relationship ended over 17 years ago!! I'm not sure how to handle this...I would really like to have him be a part of my life again...strickly as a friend though. He knows I'm married and everything and hasn't headed in that direction yet. I don't know...maybe he is just expressing his hurts from the past to get it out of the way...so we can move on to another level! Any thoughts?

exchange information and ideas, update him on your life, and continue to reinforce (when the opportunity arises) the strength and love in your marriage... ie. how lucky you were, you hope he is with or seeing or will see someone, that kind of hinting.

Yeah..your right and I have been doing that little by little. You see though, I have the guilts...I really did put the guy through the ringer...twice! I broke his heart!:( I feel terrible that he actually still hurts! Seventeen years is a long time...but I do understand that hurt...my first love did me in too! I'm over it...but every once in a while...a fleeting thought will come and wham...right in the heart!!
