Merry Meet

I think that this looks really interesting and it contains information of substance, not just the usually fluffy stuff!

However, when it comes to finding out information and research in to spells I prefer to have a book to read rather than a computer screen. I guess I am not the cyber-witch I thought I was!

Yuck :(
I dont like the fat that they are *advertising* this everywhere. If a seeker is looking for knowledge, he will find it. They shouldn't be pushing this product.

(Of course, I"m one of these witches who thinks sharing spells with neophytes is a terrible idea, as I think that by the time magick is useful and safe the practitioner is well studied enough to devise these spells for himself)

I do agree that the spam that these people sent to the lists was wrong. But, I do believe in letting people make their own decisions on what is a resource and what is not.

Absolutely! I just didnt want anyone to think i put this out here like I am endorsing it. I just put it out here because..well...because its out there. And some might find it useful.

I always understood that a Book of Shadows was a very personal diary, and only of value, or applicable to that person.

I think it can be a bit misleading to think that another can pick up something like this, and "make it work".

Still, if it leads people to investigate further, then I guess those who are really interested won't be surprised when I doesn't really work effectively, and will want to learn more, whereas those not really interested will come to a fallstop.

I am member of a list called PagTen. A couple of authors and more than a few people who've been friend for many, many years are on this list. We're an extremely close group.

Which is what turned my interest back to this thread. I really want everyone to take what I'm about to say into careful consideration! Thank you!

Now, it seems that Lady Sapphire has this cd-rom for sell for varying prices in different locations on the internet ~ those of us on PagTen have been able to trace it to at least 4 web addresses so far! What brought our attention to it was someone found it on E-Witch. This person posted to PagTen about the cd-rom because of "some of these names are familiar, and I think you should take a look."

People, whomever this Lady Sapphire is, she is selling copywritten material for profit! Not only is this blatant plagiarism, it's totally against copyright law. I know of one author who had her materials removed from the cd-rom by writing to Lady Sapphire, but LS's response to her was, "If any of the other author's want their materials removed, they must contact me directly." :bad:

If you've ordered this cd-rom, please think about what you've done. If you're considering ordering it, please think about that, as well. Lots of people put a lot of time and effort into their work, and here one person is selling it without permission?

What is wrong with this picture? :smash:
