Carmelized onions

1 Tbsp. olive oil
2 jumbo onions, sliced (about 1 1/2 pounds)
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. basil
garlic powder
seasoned salt

Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Add onions, salt, and sugar, and cook until onions are soft and golden, stirring occasionally, for about 25 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in basil, garlic powder, and seasoned salt to taste.

Tandori Rice

1 tbsp Tandori seasoning
mixed veggies

When preparing rice add the seasoning to the water you make your rice in this will let the flavor permiate the rice. When you are ready to reduce heat add the veggies and continue to cook as normal you may want to add a bit more tandori seasoning.

To serve place on plates and top with the carmelized onions. :) Simple but delectable :)

(((((((hugs)))))))) I feel for you wildchild...but at least heat up the pizza...that might make it a little better! If you can find the time at all..try sauteing(sp?) some brocolli with garlic to top off the pizza...makes interesting left overs and much more appitizing than cold pizza!:D

OOOO!!! Cold pizza doesn't really look that bad! :p

Actually, it wasn't that bad tonight. Rushed home from work & took son to soccer (in the rain). Hubby dragged himself off the floor & made a decent dinner by the time we got home. (He's still whiney, though.)

I think I have 4 bags of veggies left and 1 pack ground meat and one chicken about 6 cups split peas a lot of rice and a decent amount of pasta but no sauce my son ate it plain! I have to hit a store this weekend! However I am being really creative to keep everyone from feeling like they are eating the same stuff even if we are. :) Oh I forgot I have potatoes I think I can come up with something I have parmasan cheese and a few onions left lots of seasonings time to get creative!

We went out to eat today. Had a rotten day & didn't feel like cooking, so we went to our favorite local joint and had dinner. Eshallet too, cause God/dess knows, his Mom can't cook!

Son: Chick parm & spaghetti
Me: Chicken marsala
Eshallet: Chick parm hero w/hot wings

Ya think we like chicken?

MMMmmmmm...Chicken...we love it too and I'm always thinking of new ideas to cook it! Over the weekend I made fried chicken and with the leftovers I made a casserole...I just chopped up the left- over chicken. then I cooked some egg noodles, mixed the noodles with cream of chicken soup, added some frozen peas and the chicken, then adden some chicken broth (so it wasent' so thick)...then topped it with some leftover stuffing...popped it in the oven and whala!! Easy chicken bake...and no strange looking leftovers for me to find in the fridge at a later date!! :p :D
