That happened to me for a while once I got cocky. I was all, "Hey! I can cast spells and they all work... wheeee!" And it was the Goddess tapping me on the shoulder and said... "Hey, WE cast those spells together, you cocky ass." It took a while to understand what was happening... but I meditated and reconnected with Her and things eventually went back to normal.

I called it being "unplugged." I unplugged for quite a while in the past year. Not saying I unplugged my spirituality, I did not; I still took time to get out in nature, I watched the calendar to follow the cycles of the moon and the Sabbats, etc. I just did not do rituals or plan anything. I also quit casting spells. I quit working on my BOS, I quit reading and studying, I even quit my tarot practice. I paused and did not grow for a while in those ways. For me, I just felt my spells and magick were not working. I figured, what was the use? I gave up on myself, I guess, in that way. :eyebrow: My life also got busy and had a lot of changes, so that made bailing out that much easier.

I have not yet returned to all that, but I do spend time studying nature and enjoying the sight of the full moons that pass by as the wheel keeps turning.

I need to re-plug, I know this, but I guess I have to wait for when the time is right. I have to be ready. The other day I suddenly felt very wytchy, and it felt very good indeed! :smileroll

I am sure it happens to a lot of us.

I believe that magic, your connection and your skills, aren't static but alive, and like everything else in life they move in cyclic phases. This might just be one of the lower phases for you.

As well, I've often found that when I think I'm stagnating or even going backwards in something that should be a steady progress, what actually happens is something gestating. There usually comes a point when I suddenly evolve in leaps and bounds, and I realise that this huge step forward has been in the making all through the apparent "stagnation".

I'd say, take it easy, relax and trust that life (or your higher power... or whatever you refer to) will help you move forward again when you're ready. Don't try and force anything, or you might end up blocking yourself.

Hugs!!

It can be termed as many things including the 'dark time of the soul' ... There seems to be a stop but if you work through it and continue with your meditations etc you will get through it - even if it doesn't seem like it at present! For some it only happens once for others more times. It's a time also to look inwards take stock of what you have done up till now, you are getting ready for the next stage in your path, don't be downhearted. It's in some ways good to have this because it does make us think back and judge our acts and way we have been heading on our magical path.

And sometimes it just happens 'cos we haven't been listening to messages/signs we've been given that we've been overdoing the magickal and ignoring the mundane. :)

hope this helps!

This happened to my after I took a 220volt shock were I work it ungrounded me for 2 weeks and I had difficulty centering and thus no energy work, and it also made me very vunerable, i.e. no sheilding, I actually had to have someone help re ground me, and guide me to speak with Danu so she could repair what damage was done to my energy structure. Perhaps you should turn to your god/goddess for help

I've been feeling really disconnected ever since we moved into our new house.. could be that we have no where for me to put my books yet so i havent unpacked them yet.. the disconnected feeling was worse before i took the lock off the suitcase where i packed all my stuff..

Most likely what it is, it your not incorporated into the energy of the house, or have not cleansed it yet one of the two, when ever I moved I always first did a cleansing to eliminate the energy of the previous people, then I did a few meditations were I sent portions of my energy to mingle with the energy of the new home what way the energies could get use to reacting with each other.

I believe this is true. It's only a hint that we must look within ourselves and our motives. I've had the same thing happen to me once.

Maybe you're overexhausting yourself and your engeries/poers/skills.

think of it like this: you should take at least one or two days off a week from working out heavy or lifting weights. Overdoing it can make you weaker and more prone to injury. You need time off to repair yourself, to rest. I compare the energy and muscles in workign out to energy/skils/concentration

Also, if you are off emotionally or physicaly maybe you aren't centered enough. If you are under a lot of stress too. It could also have to do with maybe the mon, the sun, the natural disasters.

I htink maybe you are doubting yourself and your skils due to unsuccessful attempts. Mayb you are subconsiously thinkin "oh this won't work, it didn't the past couple times" and so therefor it doesn't.

I odn't do spells so maybe I'm just makin crud up but just my opinion of what is possible.
