Ok, I was just wondering.......
If you could have a theme song, what would it be? I was pondering this earlier, and thought it would be fun to see everyone else's ideas! :D

Nice choice Lady Mairwen. Personally, Metallica-"King Nothing" or "Until it Sleeps" would be more appropriate. And you Lady Dextra?

I don't know about Mairwen, but I ain't no lady. *scratches butt* :D
I'm still narrowing down my choices - I'll have to get back to you on that one.

I don't think I have a theme song, but off the rocker I'd say...
Are You Ready by Creed or Welcome Home, Sanitarium by Metallica.
Of course, America by Neil Diamond appeals to me.

So far, no one has managed to surprise me.
I knew what Mairwen's were (she has them on her site!).
Mol, the Ozzy one was too obvious. I love him too. Even have the action figure. It sits on a table in my bedroom. Scary thing is, it's the first thing I see in the morning after I put on my glasses!
Bluecat - how did I know you were the ZZ Top type?! :D
Carmelo - if you ever bring a Neil Diamond CD in the house, may the Gods help you, because I sure won't! Ick!
I've been trying to narrow mine down to just one, but it can't be done, so here goes:
Fumbling Towards Ecstasy - Sarah McLachlan
Time For Me To Fly - REO Speedwagon
Landslide - Fleetwood Mac
Break Stuff - Limp Bizkit
Witchy Woman - The Eagles
Gold Dust Woman - Stevie Nicks
And of course, the first song I ever learned to sing:
Mercedes Benz - Janis Joplin
Now, even though my mom's a Christian, she sometimes swears I'm Janis reincarnated, because I can nail that wail every time! ;) I'll start singing it, and she'll yell at me to "stop channeling Janis"! I think it's funny.

I'd have to say the theme from Raiders of the lost ark. :D I'm somewhat of an adventurer, Hee,hee. ;)

Reminds me of that time in college when we were all sitting in the computer lab goofing off, when one of the men got a little lewd and crude, as men will at times. Someone said, "Don't talk like that in front of a lady!" and someone else said, "That ain't no lady! That's Mari!" :D
I'll never forget that. *BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!*

Well it's a toss up between the following songs for me:
Silent Lucidity by Queensryche
The 1812 Overture
Heroine By Sinead O'Connor
Kiss Off by Violent Femmes
Institution by Suicidal Tendencies
All I Want by Saigon Kick
Time After Time By Ozzy
Hyper Ballad by Bjork
Black No. 1 by Type O Negative
Closer By Nine Inch Nails
and
Enjoy the Silence by Depeche Mode
That's just a few...
I'm sure that I could think of a ton more...

Reminds me of the time that Carmelo and I got that song banned from the karaoke bar! It was on the song list, but no one had ever done it. So he gets up there and starts screaming it at the top of his lungs! ROTFLMAO! All the people there are used to Garth Brooks tunes and such, so they were all staring at him like he had just committed blasphemy in the plural, and I'm sitting there laughing so hard tears were rolling out of my eyes!
I also played a mean trick on a friend of mine. He was the morning show DJ on a radio station in Ft. Wayne, IN. It was about 5 am and I was hanging around in the studio (his partner was my boyfriend at the time). He didn't know I had a mean streak, so I asked him to play it for me. He said OK. He obviously had never heard the song. My boyfriend and I left to go get breakfast. So while we were sitting in McDonalds drive thru, hte song came on and I started giggling. Michael looks at me and says "What did you do to him?!" As soon as the first F--- of the song came out, it immediately stopped and Philip screams over the air, "Dextra, what are you trying to do - get me fired?!"
We all laughed about it in the end, but Phil cringed whenever he saw me for a long time! LOL! :D

U2 is another great band I forgot to put on my list...
My three most favorite songs by them are:
Mysterious Ways
So Cruel
Who's gonna Ride your wild horses.
I also forgot REM...
It's the end of the world as we know it.... (One of the coolest songs ever written in my opinion.)

She's A Little Past Forty -- Ronnie McDowell
Even Cowgirls Get The Blues -- Rodney Crowell
Man! I Feel Like A Woman -- Shania Twain
Lovin' All Night -- Rodney Crowell
CRAZY (My Fave)
Y' get up every morning see the same old face
Y' get in your car and drive it down to the same old
place
Well do you ever wonder what it's all about
Something they call freedom of choice
That you should not live without
Chorus: Me, I'm feelin' lazy
And it's me that's on the line
I may be crazy
But I've been crazy for a long long time
You take your action in weekends at a time
But you can make all week your own
If you set your mind
You see security in the chrome American dream
But I don't believe in livin' in the middle
With available extremes
Chorus
Now there's many people see the truth in what I'm
sayin'
But it's hard to make up your mind with a programmed
brain
You who know better, but you're just gonna wait and
see
Why don't you do it now, you may never get another
opportunity (Carole King)
Passing Of The Days
Chorus: May you travel bright and cheery
The many roads ahead you'll have to blaze
Gonna be hard times to make you weary
It's a part of the passing of the days
With all the people in the middle
Selling things that self destruct and make us bleed
One day it's all gonna fall down
Then you'll find out you're all you really need
May you wander through the changes
With the warmth of the sun behind the haze
When your lifestyle quickly rearranges
May you follow the passing of the days
We trade our money for magic words
Like Dumbo flying high in the nightly show
You think you can't fly without them
But someday when it happens you will know
Chorus (Carole King)

i'm terrible with titles and artists, but there is a song out there by a male country singer that goes something like this:
...and it's a great day to be alive.
i know the sun's still shinin' when i close my eyes...
that part is just *so* me... gotta love it!
...anybody know who it is?

I know, I can't let this one die either. I have a few more that have been popping into my brain as of late. A lot of it is some stuff I got off Napster before I gave up on it. Mostly rare live stuff that I'll lose when I lose this computer, but they'll be stuck in my head forever! :D
Melissa Etheridge & Joan Osborne - "Bring Me Some Water (live)"
Sheryl Crow & Sarah McLachlan - "The Difficult Kind (live)"
Tori Amos - "Amazing Grace" and "Landslide" (both live)
Wyclef Jean - Gone Til November and We Tryin To Stay Alive
Tesla - Love Song (the 80's will never die!)
Rage Against the Machine - Sleep Now in the Fire
Cypress Hill - well, anything by them really
And Methods of Mayhem - Get naked! :bigredgri

I have to do this -
"Somebody bring me some water!
Can't you see I'm burnin' alive?
Can't you see my baby's got another lover?
And I don't know how I'm gonna survive!
Somebody bring me some water!
Can't you see it's out of control?
My baby's got my heart, my baby's got my mind,
But tonight the sweet devil -
Sweet devil's got my soul!"
