For those who have seen "Final Fantasy" The movie, Do you think as much as I do, that the idea in that film has alot of merit. All of it makes alot of sense to me...

Yeah of course it does. If you get rid of those ghosts and the alian rock, and the blue and red Gaia's, than you have the earth, and mother nature, being harmed by human actions, and if left unchecked, could lead to the ultimate destruction of everything...

I think the concept of other 'Gaia's' is more interesting than anything...Why *wouldn't* other planets have as much of a soul as this one?

I haven't seen it nor do I havea clue what it's about. However, after reading the posts in here the "Gaia Concept" is familiar to me from Asimov's Foundation Series
Of course George Carlin in a way touches on this.......He says that the reason that we exist at all is because the Earth wanted plastic!!

I loved the movie, and the concepts and undercurrents of ideas in it. It ruled.
Why does everyone think the ending sucked!? IRL most of the "heores" don't actually live to see the ending. And the symbolism with the bird was BEAUTIFUL. I cried. I love that movie. And the images are astounding!

I liked the concept of other Gaia's, it's something I hadn't thought about much. We have had our share of asteroids, one that supposedly lead to the extinction of the dinosaurs, and another possibly off the western US coast somewhere that may have landed in the oceans and caused great floods
