Open hearts, Open Homes - refugee assistance

This is a program based in Pensacola, Florida but they're looking for volunteers all over to help house the masses of people who have had to evacuate their own homes.

This is completely not for profit and started in the last few days with people calling the radio stations offering their spare rooms, couches, living room floors etc... they have a screening process and are trying to match people up as best they can according to requirements.

Take a look and see if you can do anything to help.

Here in Arkansas the churches and schools are opening up for people displaced by the storm to stay in. Where I live, Magnolia in SW Arkansas, there are businesses and individuals who are donating supplies and opening their homes for these people in droves. There is also some provisions being made to teach the children who are in this rough situation. Trying to put them in an environment with others and get them into some sort of routine as well as keep their studies on some sort of track until things get straightened out as it could take months. I just wish I was in a better possition to help more.
