Baby may be in danger (wife's pregnant)

We just got a call from the doctor...the results for spina bifida (http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/spina_bifida/spina_bifida.htm) came back abnormal, could be a false positive, he didn't say, but did tell us she has to go for another ultra sound and possibly an amnio sentisis (I know I spelled that wrong). We won't know for sure until Tuesday.

Instead of asking for energy or well wishes, I would like to request that everyone that reads this bends their knee to the diety of their choice, and thanks them that their children are healthy. I'll keep you posted.

I went through the same thing with my 2nd pregnancy, scared me to death but they did a amnio & it was a false postive. False positive happen alot, so try to think positive. Loads of blessings & energy sent to you, your wife & the new little baby coming.

Oh honey not only will I hug my daughter and give thanks I will also light a candel for you, your wife, and your new baby to be. I know what it is like to have a scarry pregnancy I was in the hospital 21 times from 4 months untill I was 32 weeks. I will deffinately pray for you all. PLease keep us posted.

This outpouring of support is almost back breaking....I like to consider myself a strong man, but the 3 of my children (that I know of...yes, I was [note=WAS] promiscuious) are all healthy...and then this last one that my wife and I planned has become the heartache, even though we are not positive....and you all here just lean out and share.......do any of you have any idea what my family said when I told them? The general response was, it was bound to happen that someone in the family had a child with a birth defect......and all of you, even against my wishes, are sending energy to us, some of you don't even have it to spare for yourselves and are asking for it elsewhere on this forum!!!! All of you humble me beyond what I thought I could ever be humbled....thank you, all of you for your support in this time of uncertainty for us.

Wife just called from the ultrasound...The doctor can see no signs of spina bifida, so if this is a case of a true positive, it is the most mild form, and will not cause the child any problems. He checked for cleft palate, clubbed foot, and a couple of other deformities, which all came back negative. So it looks like the worry was for nothing after all, but thank you all for your support.

Oh, btw, baby is still on schedule for 19 Jan 06, and will be named Collin Thomas......(yes, we now are positive it's a boy...the only test that came back positive today...isn't that great!)
