View Full Version : The injustices of life

Last night, in my sleepy little town, a 32 year old man took his life and the life of his two and a half year old daughter. His wife was working two jobs to help support the family and apparently he didn't want his daughter to grow up thinking her father was a failure. So, he took her with him. The poor woman found her husband and her daughter in their garage this morning (I can only assume it was carbon monoxide poisoning). My heart aches, and I can't help but feel angry, sad, depressed and helpless. Goddess grant that woman the strength to prevail and go on with her life. I know I couldn't do it...

it makes you so mad, and mainly at the person you cant touch!
I feel for the mother, and hope that God will grant her the strength to continue on.
To take the young is TRULY a crime.
and now I gotta go read something to make me happier...

Namaste Rae,
that was really a tragic story you told us. Most disgusting is this I am the God of the family so i ll kill you if i feel like it, which stands behind this story.
I d suggest to you, you do something to let go your rightous anger.
Unreleased anger leads to frustration and later to depression. Just an idea. PS: the sad part is, Rae, despite such a tremendous tragedy, life has proven that people WOULD find strength going on living. But the scars remain on and on :(

I will add my thoughts to yours for this woman. May she find the strength to go on. I just can't even imagine such a thing. :(

Rae, this is so awful. My heart goes out to the people who knew the man and the girl, and I hope he's not as stupid in his next life.

until we start recognizing children as full beings and not property- and this doesnot mean NOT disciplining, educating or socializing-things like this will continue to occur? Look at Susan Smith and that lady in TX-this is reoccurant. When I was a kid- the lady on the next street drowned her 2 kids in the bath tub , dressed them for church and put them in the trunk of her car -where they stayed for 2 days- and we were (then ) a town of under 1600 people. This was over 30 years ago.

THis kind of stuff just breaks my heart. I could never treating my child like that! There are no words to tell the sadness and disgust I feel when I hear something like that. But what goes around comes around. You made a good point there too!

How selfish...that makes me so angry. His child had a full life ahead of her and he ended it because of his own selfish pride. Then he left his already over worked wife to pick up the pieces. May Karma do it's magic.

Question???????
Do you suppose that when a person takes his/her own life as well as anothers life in this manner, that the person is afraid to leave this life without a companion? Not that it would give that person liscense to commit such an act.
Live long and prosper.
Blessings
