A message from my husband

They finally allowed the guys to send a message to us and this is what I got:

Hey guys,
How are things at home? We are so busy it ridiculous. I haven't had a day
off from flying yet. We've been delivering food and water all over the
place and picking up people at every opportunity. Yesterday, **** and I
picked up a little over 100 and the other two picked up over 600 between
them. Gulfport is flat and New Orleans is a big bowl of water. I flew over
that cemetary you took me to and it's flooded, but intact appearing. I
can't think of the name of it. The amount of destuction is not being
portrayed well by the media, it's so much worse that it appears. You can't
picture it until you see it from the air all at one time. It does feel good
to help all the people we can, but it breaks your heart when you have to fly
out at night and you see all the flashing lights of people begging for
help. We're too big to pick the people on the roofs so we wait to find
rally points and get around 40 at a time.
I hope you guys are doing well and I'll be home as soon as I can. I've got
to get to sleep.

Thank you all. I try not to focus on the fact that he's gone and more on what we're each doing to help.

I spent all night last night at the convention center helping care for 172 children between 3-15 who have lost their families. It makes me so sad that this is all we can do for now.
