Bit of a mish mash I would say but going with the positions and correspondences that you have laid out, this is my opinion.

Your significators Heirophant and Lovers - these cards represent a long term partnership/marriage. THe Heirophant repsents the assimilation of lessons learned in past relationships and the Lovers represents choice in relationship and partnership. I would say they give a blessing.
The King of Wands as the common bond is a friend that you share who has helped in some way get the ball rolling. This person's friendship is important although he is not always emotionally available. He has a high standard in relationships and looks for the whole package: friendship, attraction, loyalty although he doesn't trust with his heart.
The King of Swords as your potential conflict can represent physical tiredness - when people are too tired they can't be in their heart, they are in their head. The other person wants them in their heart and this is wear the unkind words that neither person really means come out. One has bruised feelings and one doesn't know what they did was wrong - they were just tired. It is about controlling behaviours as well - being right 90% of the time is great but when you are really really wrong the other 10% you need to be aware that when you err, you do it big. It also represents how one person thinks they have to do and decide how everything will be. Controlling can come out of wanting peace and harmony too - that is how we end up doing to much because we want things to just be normal and really what we are doing is forcing our own control on the situation.
The Hanged Man - what it was built on - means it came during some kind of transition. Both people are ready to dance the dance of life with their soulmate but no one was yet there. You entered each other's world in a dancing position. Strong feelings, not sure how to move towards them and actualize them without being engulfed or fearing abandonment.
King of Pentacles - foundation - he won't do things because he has to, he does it because he wants to when he is ready. He is there because he wants to be - if he didn't want to be there, he wouldn't be. Accept his assurances - he will tire of constantly reassuring you. The physical side of the relationship is important. There is a element of boredom with present employment. Very quirky sense of humour - sideways with a left twist.
The Star - 6 of Wands - what you both bring to the relationship. Faith and Vigilance - convergence, hope, recogntion, victory but with a caution to not take things for granted. You dream together.
Outcome - 4 of Swords - there is a return of feelings that both of you never thought you would experience. The challenge is in how you handle them. If he wants space - become invisible. Maybe sometimes you just need to put your head on each other's shoulder and have a rest. It is about rebuilding trust in love in many ways. I always think of Sleeping Beauty when I see this card. The right person awakens and enlivens you again. Sometimes when the heart has been hurt or been cold or frozen, it takes time to melt it. I get a strong sense of restlessness, tossing and turning at night, not sleeping well - this really impacts the sense of humour.
Sounds like you have something you could build on but you could both use a little holiday of some kind. I think he must like sports or play sports of some kind - you should go cheer him on.
You are both talented people with high attainment around you - don't let it be competitive. You will be in the spotlight for what you believe. There have been many trials but many blessings as well.
Anyway, just a few thoughts.

The Hanged Man is an interesting card. It is a lot about personal sacrifices and part of making a relationship work involves small sacrifices of self along the way. It gives a nice feeling of enchantment around a relationship - kind of the fresh awe we feel in the beginning that keeps recurring. It does lead to bigger feelings and brings big changes because of the enlivening reanimating feeling that comes with allowing deep love to grow over time and not being afraid to let it reach you.
I am glad if I was able to help.
