View Full Version : To get a new job

I've recently had an epihany - I don't enjoy my job at all anymore. I only enjoy working with few people and I dread the work itself. Thus I want to get a new job. An ideal job for me is at Walmart as it's close, I know several people that work there and I love working with the public.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to create a spell to help me win this poosition? Of course I'll need to hand in my resume, application and keep calling them every week.

Yup there's a few things to think about.
Mind keys - what colours and other associations do you see for finding this job? The colours green, gold, or silver? Runes? Symbols? Words? What you want in a job? Saturday is a good day for job spells, if the moon were waxing you could see your ability to get the job growing, with the waning you could see obstacles in the way disappearing, etc. You might also think of writing down the qualities in the job you want and burning it over a green candle inscribed with symbols such as runes or dollar signs or success signs, etc. Emerald, jade, etc. might be good. Placing a # of knots in a green/silver/gold cord might be an idea, etc. There's lots of things you can do :)

Heres an interesting idea from a Knot Magick thread:

Let's hope I remember it just right...
choose multiple colors to stand for different aspects of your spell, for instance, if you need a job: you could try green for money, red for the push to bring your wish about, white for purity of intent (you don't want to steal someone else's job!), etc. Use a few strands, I don't remember how many Beth taught me to use, but I'd try at least 6. Maybe 9... good magical number... If you need, try using more than one of the same color if you don't use very many shades to make sure it'll be nice and thick when you're done..
Cut them long, about the full stretch of your arms. Take each string (yarn) and run the length of it between your index and thumb fingers while repeating the meaning of each as they apply to your spell in your head or aloud... however you need to to get them infused with their purpose.
When that's done, tie them together in a simple knot at one end. Have someone hold it or pin/hook it securely to something like a wall. Twist the strings together so they become one rope. This takes a LOT of twisting. More than you might think. When you squish the rope in your fingers, it shouldn't flatten. It should be taught and twisted too compactly to do so. If it slips out of your hands and unravels, start over again.
When it's very tight, bend it in half so the end you were twisting from meets the end that is knotted and being held by your friend or other object. Make sure you knot the end you were twisting by tying the loose ends around the knot you had made before so it remains one knot. The thick cord will twist up when you fold it in half. Don't worry, that's what you want to happen. You might want to help the rope in twisting by doing so manually so it's a nice and uniform, like a rope braid.
(As a tip, when you make your initial knots, leave some extra hanging off like a tassle. Do that with the side you twist by not twisting all the way to the tip end.)
Now that you've done that, you can trim the extra or leave it. I personally like to turn the rope into a round circle by slipping the knotted end through the loop at the other twisted end and slipping the circle around the base of a candle to burn while I meditate on the purpose of the spell coming to fruitation.

I've always heard that if you carry seven job's tears in your pocket on an interview, you're sure to get the job!

I once did a small candle working just before I went for an interview...
I had a circle with the pentagram inside...on each of the 5 points of the star, I drew astrological symbols and at the four points N...E...S....W I placed apropriate planetary and zodiac symbols..
and i ised a red candle and 7 Pennies...
also I used a white candle...white for truth and red for change(action)
and as for an encantation
you would write a simple rhyme that basicly asks
if it is the job you were meant to have, then let it be given to you..
add in a few devotional lines for your deity, (if aplicable) and then after it is cast, let candles burn out on thier own and do not disturb the candles or the pennies untill you have an answer either way....
it worked for me

I had a job interview and I really wanted the job, I did a spell using a Tigers eye stone. I carried it with me to the interview, and I got the job. I also wrote a chant that I repeated in my head before the interview.

  I hate to ask... but what exactly is a job's tears? Since I am desperately looking for work. ( I live in NYC, and the WTC attack has pretty much strangulated the job market here.) If it can possibly improve a job interview for me... I will use 107 of them!
