GODS!!! it's not that it's raining hard, I would LOVE it if it was raining hard
but it's like a trillion mile per hour winds gusting so hard I feel the house shake, and I'm in a tin can!! (mobile home) omg this is scary. I've been through storms before and I can't really recall anything quite like this! Don't worry, no twisters, this is northern California
But the wind is screaming as it blows across rooftops, and the chimes are NOT stopping. This is scary.

Either this is the biggest storm in the history of the world or I got a different one here. ^^ It's been raining cats and dogs since last night. It's starting to let up now tho. But my dog still won't go out because she doesn't like to get her paws wet. She's so spoiled. -.-;

WTF ???

it rained last night in jersey too, and the wind knocked down one of my power lines... all i hear was a big .."POOOP" and then i turned on my light (instinctual response for a technology dependant idiot who gets scared at things that go bump in the night)

and the damn light blew out,  then i went to the living room only to see flashes and poping here and there,
again, I mr dum dum , turn on yet another light and again it blew out...

i was like wtf , it is the middle of the night, its raining, and all that was missing was the movie camera and crew LOL

perfect clasical horror film LOL, so I get a candle, go down to the basement, with intentions of shutting the main circuit breaker and then going back to bed to deal with it when it is daylight...

I get zapped by the damn box. :(......grrr...

so now I grab a hammer, and use the wooden end to flip off the switch....

then i just went back to bed...and in the morning is when i found out one of the lines were down...I called the electric company from work, so i have to find out if it is ok to turn the breaker back on when i get home..............

GRRRR

I take it none of you have been through a real tornado? The storms you talk about bring us midwesterners out to play! Even the tornados cant stop us from our fun. You should come by during the spring, when tornados are common. I remember the night of 26 tornados, one was about an f4, leveled the rich half of town, another one knocked out some local buisnesses and passed right over my former residence, but the rest passed mainly without problems (no fatallities except for this one dumb cow... :T). They are still finding debre from these things, some buisnesses even decided that it was cheaper to leave it were it fell (or was imbedded) rather than pay to have it cleaned up then the next night of tornados everything gets messy again. And the storms you were talking about passed us, I think that we just have the winds now.

:rotfl: Id forgotten what it was like without tornados...

it's been pretty windy here in Oregon too.
hey Puma, what part of Northern California are you in? i rememer some pretty good storms in Santa Rosa. the Russian River would flood, and once i saw a fairly good-sized tree blowing over the freeway, about 60ft. up! i half expected to see Dorothy's house go by next!

^^;; heh heh. . . I"m from Santa Rosa, CA. LOL Yep, there's been some really wild storms, but I've never experienced them from a mobile home! LOL I was always in a very sturdy house with thick walls LOL ^^; So this was the first time I really felt the brunt

well, I survived! LOL -_-; then my boss made life h-e-double-hockey-sticks. She just CAN'T figure out that I can't work during school. . . -_-; baka manager. Dilbert's right.

And now it's freezing! hehe but I like cold.

I live in a mobile home myself. But in Oklahoma, mobile take on a whole different meaning during tornado season.

Tornado season? What kind a name is that? Like we go out and hunt wild tornadoes to bring home or something?

well it is still kinda crappy out, this storm system is wierd...

cable guy came this morning (monday) he fixed the wire,

he said it looked like the wire was hit by lightning,

   there was no thunder and lightning in my area that night

but on a good note, cable wire fixed and electrician is comming in the morning to fix breaker box......

YAY......or something

well actually, that was a bit of brain fade. my Mom works at 'The Old Vic' on 4th St.
the 'English Rose' is in Portland (so many pubs, so little time). so stop by for a pint of bitter lime or a coke. there's a good beef and potato pie too, if your into meat (only rarely for me, no pun intended). ask for 'Lily', and tell her Peter sent you.
i lived there for twelve tears, and married the Dragonfly there (actually out at Armstrong Woods). she used to work at the coolest record store in the world. it was called 'Rebel Records', right across from SR High (above the skate shop). they had all the latest indy punk and imported new stuff.
ahhh, the old days!

OMG I absolutely *LOVE* The Old Vic!!!!!! ^__^ I've eaten there several times, I love the atmosphere! hehe I'll be sure to tell her you said hi, next time I stop by there

oooh Armstrong Redwoods. . .^____^I love it there

LOL! there's still a skate shop there (I go to the JC). They used to have a "girls" skate shop up above the "guys" one. . -_-; weird LOL I don't know what it is now.

Man I love this county. . . I mean, the cities suck, I love the nature of it. ^^; hehe

It snowed here too! with lotsa wind and stuff! But WTF are you complaining about Xander???LOL No Power is the greatest thing ever!!! It forces you to think outside the electric box!! I loooove black outs!! (but then again it's just another excuse for the pyromanaic qualities in me to "fire " up!!)

ok, yes I will admit, it did force me to see outside the electric box, LITERALLY...

it made me regain the love I once had for the DAYLIGHT LOL
and a greater apreaciation for the simple things in life...
like heat, internet, and electricity

LOL
electric back on , but it looks like my tv was fried LOL

It snowed like crazy here on Friday night, and then tonight it snowed a little.. but it was soooo foggy! My friend Jami and I went wandering through the cemetary... went and saw my friend Brians grave (:( miss him lots) and it was so beautiful and peaceful.... I have never been that at peace in my whole life. Jami got back in the car, cause she was cold, and I was sitting there, and I started cryin a little, cause I miss Brian so very much... and I swear I felt him hug me and 3 raindrops fell on my cheeks (which was odd, cause it was snowing.. but it was raindrops that fell on me). It was so warm and so comforting... I sat there for about 10 minutes, just feeling his arms around me, and then they slowly faded away, and I got back in the car, and Jami said that she saw the fog, form around me, in the shape of a human... and she was too scared to say anything, or do anything... cause she's never really experienced anything supernatural.... and then we left. :) And this story turned out pretty much nothing about the weather... but I got carried away.
