I was wondering if there is a site or reference for which stones are with which elements and animals.
I am particuarly interested in butterflies.
I am sure moonstone is the moon by name alone and I just love this stone.
Also, there was a thread with stones with fae too so maybe this is pointless here I dunno I'm tired.
What about cats and angels?
How aobut anythign to do with Jesus, Mary Magdelen, St. Therese, Bridg/St. Bridgit, God/Yaweh and the earth mother and green goddess and greenman?
Any stones iwth Gweneviere and other ARthur things and Merlin?
Any particular sontes and metals and elements and seasons with Ireland and other Celtic lore?
thanks.

This thread has a few answers to your questions. Not sure about the animal associations though.

i should add that chiastolite cross stone is assossiated with xian themes, when the cross isnt centered.
as for cats:
the maneki neko (waving cat) from japan makes a beautiful cat charm, which it basically is ....

what does the waving cat mean?
I've always wondered that one.

the maneki neko (waving cat) goes back to the following story:
a very poor monch lived in a monastry alone with his cat. the monastry was in poor condition also.
one day a wealthy noble man came upon the monastry, and seeked cover uner a tree in the garden, because a thunderstorm had arrisen.
the cat came out of the building and waved its paw, what the noble-man interpretted as a waving to come hither.
the momemt he left the cover of the tree and came towards the cat, a thunder stroke the tree. the noble-man - happy to have been forewarned - gave a lot of wealth to the monsatry to built it up again, and also had a huge porcelein cat made for the waving cat, in honour to have saved his life.
this temple is near kyoto in japan up to this day, tehrefore the waving cat is a good luck charm.

wonder if that cat was his familiar, but I don't really understand that concept.

well who's familiar ?
the monks or the noble mans ?
i believe it was - if at all - the familiar of the monk, just being nie to the stranger
which turned out ebing beneficiant to its "master", the monk
of course cats have no masters, they have servants _catroll_

do you mean cats own us, what do you mean by them havign no masters and only servants?
I meant a familiar to the one the cat saved by having them leave the tree so they were ok.
