in the spring, i made maple syrup as usual but this time i inadvertantly boiled one batch a bit too long. for some reason in one of the jars there is a single double pointed crystal growing in it. What could this be used for? it is about an inch and a half long now and still growing. I looked in a book on crystals but couldn't find anything.

Um... to sweeten your tea? ;) :D

I only know about the properties of crystals that come from the Earth... not sure about any others... Myst, where are you?

:) You have made maple sugar. That's what the crystals are. You can use them as regular sugar if you break them down. It will certainly give your tea or coffee extra flavour! Lucky you!

Yeah, I think if you tried to remove it to use if for anything it would crumble easily. Cool though!

How about removing it carefully, charging it on your altar and using it to sweeten a magickal tea or potion? Some herbal teas are pretty bland by themselves.
