I have a new little kitten, she's a girl, and I am trying to come up with names. So suggest away! Here are a few that I came up
with but still havent decided.

usdi wesa (cherokee for little cat)
pandora
pagan cat
smokey (not very girl sounding)
Tink (for tinkerbell)

:boing::smooch:-I need a name...

Ooo! What colour is she???? :D

I don't have many suggestions for names but here's what I got:
Cat (so original :T)
Sketch
Raine

um.. I think that's all... (I'm not very good at naming things) :(

dirty white? some burmese or siamese mix
dark areas around nose ears and tail.
smokey ashy kinda with the white.

very young, I mean just weaned! wants to eat(nibble) every 2 hours or so. And hates the chihuahua (hopefully they will be
friends)

I like the name Smokey myself (it sounds like it suits her. :) ).. Or Misty or something like that. :D

And I suppose if you introduce the kitty to the chihuahua she might get the idea that they're supposed to get along. :)

tried that. tiny she ran off dog. She can hiss and spit with the best of them. And the dog is in love with the kitten, wants to mother her. Is sad to watch. Kitten wont let her near. And funny
at same time.

 Sounds like my cat when she gets in a fight w/ a slipper. ^_^

The kitten will warm up eventually.. I think she's just trying to get used to the new home and such right now. :)

I vote for Pandora- bringing home a kitten can be like opening Pandora's box. Believe me, I know- as a mom to 6 cats for 4 years. We now have three cats and that is a good number for me. :p ( but I still miss my other three babies).

You can wait a few days, see what kind of personality she ends up showing a bit.

Have fun! And don't forget- don't move your feet under the covers while you are in bed if she is an attack cat! :D

moving feet is hazardous to said feet's health.
Also, being so young, she only sleeps for about 40 minutes
(catnap) so I am missing some sleep right now!

schedule last night
play kitty til tired.
sleep 40 or so minutes not moving
kitty wakes up and says "GET UP I WANT TO PLAY!"
play kitty til tired.
sleep 40 or so minutes not moving
"repeat as needed"

:boing::smooch:-YAWN!!

PS. Time it takes to tire kitty? To dang long!

I like Pandora or Smokey.

Having a kitten is just like having a newborn. You sleep when they sleep!

My kitty's name is Tobias T. Cat, we call him Toby. My son thought calling him Tobias was pretty funny.

Yuppers our kitty was like that too! did you put her in your bed with you?? Maybe she'll go to sleep that way! Or maybe fill up a hot water bottle! cats love anything warm and it makes em tired too!
But on names!! Name her Starlight dammit! It's the best name next to peanut! Ohh yaeh Peanut is cool too!

So how is she taking to the raccoon and the mouse?? My cat doesn't like our chihuahua either! :T

My last kitty was Fergus, for the mighty Celtic warrior:) She was mighty, alright.

I'll (hopefully!!!) be having this same dilemma in a month or so. My boyfriend is moving out (not a good thing) but when he leaves I'm getting a kitty to love! (man is allergic)

I have a friend who likes to name cats dog names and name dogs cat names. He's got a cat named Rover and a dog named fluffy ;)

....you might wanna think about adding a w in there somewhere though. P'raps after the T? Sounds better, that's all.

Of course then it won't be named after Tinkerbell, you'll have to think of another namesake won'tcha? :p

Ooh, I like Cobalt. The guitar I lusted after for YEARS was Cobalt Blue... mmm

I'm gonna get 2 kitties.. a black one and a white one.. name the black on Drucilla and the White one Spike. :) Anyone think I'm entirely too obsessed?

My friend Jami had 2 kitties, Tito and Jermaine. I thought for sure she was going to populate her house in kitties named after the Jackson family. :)

she also has one white toe, so started thinking about that, and came up with... white toe! dont know. has to be something that you dont trip over when saying and yet have personality...

also native american or native american english translations would be nice. (have gone completely through my cherokee phonetics book!)

How can I get her to leave the pretty little COMPUTER WIRES alone! eep! that could get expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at the back, except for the 4 speaker wires where they ascend up the desk at back(open tubular computer desk, large) and mouse, keyboard wires. Its the cool dangling speaker wires(also the thinnest) that she really likes. :)

My sisters cat was the worst... he made off with my toothbrush, underwear, and watch!! I found jewlery under my couch, chairs, bed, computer desk, washer, dryer, etc... for MONTHS after I baby-sat for that stupid sadistic little.. *BEEP!*

And although this post is coming off as, "I HATE CATS!" I totally don't! I love cats... but hers sucks.

you named the cat Pouncy????

poor kitty!!! You have to bring her over to visit. We got catnip!!! ozzy and Rory broke into thier stockings early to get some. ozzy seems to be hoarding it all!!

I started to call you the other night and see if you had found a kitty yet. There was a big beautiful black cat that showed up out here. We fed her. She is full grown and feels like velvet...very friendly. but she probably belongs somewhere...maybe everywhere.

Good luck with the kitty. Bring her to see us!

Only girl cats can usually handle milk and they handle it better if their pregnant. But still the amount of milk must be not very much or kittie might get sick. I can only give my cat a tea spoon before he get's sick.
If your cat has hairball trouble try putting a bit of Vasilene(sp?) on her paw. :)

Old Witch
December 6th, 2001, 01:39 PM
Why won't you listen to me? This is a true statement.............Cows milk is only good for baby cows...................Dairy board not withstanding, it causes diarrhea and vomitting in many cats and dogs. Gas too. Then we're not gonna mention the antibiotics, steroids, and growth hormones that we're putting in our kids via milk...........................:(
