I've wanted to. But I'm still so very unsure with the cards.... I havn't had the balls to.

I want to do some Kemetic themed ones.

I'm sure I could if I tried.....

Ditto Moonshine & Hymnia, with the occasional re-vamped Celtic Cross in thrown in just for fun. :D

I usually make my own up unless it's a general reading, then sometimes I go for a unique spread I have saved somewhere :)

Yes, I have done spreads of my own concerning specific questions. But I'm very, very new to Tarot (2 weeks lol), so I don't know if my spreads are any good.

I have made plenty - especially when i cannot find a spread that i'm after, sometimes i need a very specific type of spread that i can't find.

I have been doing Tarot for awhile and am very comfortable with it. I have never made my own spread though. So since we are on the subject. How do you dedicate a spread as to not confuse the cards? I would like to make my own spread.

This is how I create a spread for a reading. Example: a young woman comes in and asks me "What is my future with so-and-so?" (now this can vary if she says "my boyfriend" or "this new guy" or "my boss", so you have to go with the flow and be willing to change this up).

So, I'd think of what it is she'd like to know. I usually start with a general card. What the relationship is like at this moment.

Then, I think that she'll probably want to know what he's thinking, but we also have to include a card for what she is thinking.

She'll probably want to know if there is anything standing in the way of the relationship.

She'll want to know what encouraging things there are in the relationship.

Then we can end with an outcome card, which I usually term as "advice".

So, it would probably look like this:

1. General
2. What she thinks / feels
3. What he thinks / feels
4. What they have going in their favor
5. Obstacles they may face
6. Advice / Outcome if things continue the way they are now.

Another example, a woman comes to me wondering about a job prospect.

1. Type of job she's best suited for (this one takes alot of imagination folks, ;) )
2. Her strengths
3. Her weaknesses (things she needs to work on to better her shot at getting said job)
4. What are the people hiring looking for
5. Advice / Outcome

It's really all about figuring out exactly what you want to know, and narrowing it down to very specific questions. The broader question gets broken down into specific positions within the spread.

Try it! It's fun. :)
