The month of December brings with it two eclipses. Eclipses occur when the
Sun and Moon line up in an exact or nearly exact way, with either the Sun or
Moon turning dark somewhere around the world. A solar eclipse occurs when
the new Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, blocking out the Sun's
light. The solar eclipse may not be seen all over the world, but it will
affect us nonetheless.
Our first eclipse this month is a solar eclipse on December 14th at 1:47 pm
(PST). This eclipse is at 22/23 degrees of Sagittarius. In general, a solar
eclipse can indicate unexpected, but very significant events. You can begin
feeling the effects of this eclipse up to 3 months prior to the eclipse and
it can continue for up to one year after the eclipse. This particular
eclipse may bring sudden endings of associations or relationships. There is
a large emotional component and a sense of traumatic transformation. This
can be through news received or short journeys undertaken.
You need to look at where 22/23 degrees of Sagittarius falls in your own
birth chart to determine whether this eclipse will be challenging for you or
a 'walk in the park'. If the eclipse point is falling on any of your
personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars), you will most likely
experience some kind of outside event in your life that will challenge you
on an emotional level. The area of your life that is most effected by the
eclipse is determined by which house 22/23 degrees of Sagittarius is in.
This includes all kinds of relationships. Even though the trigger of this
eclipse is an outer event in our life, what this eclipse is really trying to
tell us is that some of our emotional patterns regarding the way we relate
to family, friends, partners, spouse, children, work associates, etc., need
to change in order for these relationships to function better. Or it may be
time for some relationships to end entirely.
This 22/23 degree Sagittarius carries within it the vibration of your
solution, your hope. If you trust what your body tells you, what your 'gut'
tells you, your INTUITION, it will guide you. Be open to new ideas, fresh
approaches, and innovative paths. Allow yourself to be exposed to the
possibilities, visions and new ways to evolve through these challenges. If
you feel anger, fear or frustration toward someone else, try and stop for a
moment. Remind yourself that what angers us about others is only our own
shadow being mirrored back to us. Ask yourself what your anger has to teach
you. What are you supposed to learn here? Be willing to shift your attitude
in midstream. Seize upon opportunities, challenges and openings.
TUNE IN TO YOUR SPIRIT.
The second eclipse is a Lunar eclipse on December 30th at 2:40 am (PST).
A lunar eclipse is when the full Moon is directly opposite the Sun and the
earth passes between the two and casts a shadow on the Moon. When a lunar
eclipse follows a solar eclipse, it sheds light on what needs to be repaired
from the solar eclipse. The effects of a lunar eclipse can be felt from 30
days prior to the eclipse to 6 months after.
You will feel you have more control of things with a lunar eclipse.
The Moon is at 8/9 degrees Cancer and the Sun is at 8/9 degrees Capricorn
during this eclipse. So you need to check your chart to see which houses you
have 8/9 degrees of Cancer/Capricorn in and if you have any personal planets
there. The 8/9 degrees of Cancer/Capricorn carry within them the vibration
of continual attunement to your spiritual Source as it pervades your
consciousness, enabling you to avoid the limitations of any given situation
and follow your inner inspiration to personal fulfillment. Use this energy
to heal whatever needs healing after the solar eclipse.
Being forewarned is being forearmed.
This is the greatest gift of astrology. We can make better choices
in our lives through the self-understanding astrology gives us.
Astrology helps us see the patterns that are happening
in our life and to use these energies for our success in our
personal and business lives. Timing is everything!
