For personal reasons I'm trying to create a family tree of the Irish Pantheon. Am I out of my mind? Why is it that every resource I use tells me something different than the one I just looked at? Is there a good resource out there and does something of a family tree already exist? Any help would be appreciated.

I havent really studied much on it but from what ive read i don't think the Irish pantheon is much like the roman or greek ones where everyone is related in some way or another. Like i said im not claiming to be an expert, or even know enough on the subject to save myself...but thats what i know so far. Correct me if im wrong, please, but those are just my thoughts.
good luck finding info!
cheers ;)

Well, with what I have right now, there are two major families, starting from, as far as I can tell, the Dagda on one and Ler/Lir on the other. The only problem is every resource has it slightly different. Most everything I've read about them, when they mention a Deity, they always give at least one supernatural relative. Be it a father, mother, sybling. I've even found Deities who are linked with cousins only, and no mention of any immediate family is ever made. who knows? It could be all speculation and generations of rumor. But it would appear I have nothing better to do.
