are they Greek or Norse? Cant remember. They measure out your life, weave it, and then cut the thread. Probably Norse, but not sure, and I need to know to finish the base for my sculpture.

Greek and Norse. Lachesis, Clotho, and Atropos, or collectively in Norse myth as norns. Search engines do wonders dude - http://www.lexiline.com/lexiline/lexi90.htm
(edited to spell Norse properly)

Yeah the Greeks and Romans each have their own version of the Fates. I believe the Greeks called them the Moirae, or some such name... I could have the wrong word though.
I have the names of them and what they're supposed to influence written down in my BoS somewhere, but I don't have it with me right now. :)

I got this from a website from a long time ago and put it in my BoS...can't remember where it came from though...
Fates (the moirae)- the three powerful goddesses who determined the lives of man. Clotho wove the thread of life, Lachesis measured it out, and Atropos cut it off with her scissors of death.
