aspects and personality

Hi! i have a question...
Suppose you have no planets or ascendant in the sign of Capricorn. However, you have MANY aspects with the planet Saturn in your birthchart.
1) Does that make your personality similar to that of a Capricorn?
2) If having many aspects to Saturn gives you Capricorn personality characteristics, does it matter whether it is a trine, conjunction, opposition, or square with the planet Saturn in making your personality similar to that of a typical Capricorn?---A trine w/ Saturn will give you Capricorn characteristics, but an opposition w/ Saturn will also give you Capricorn characteristics too, right?

The reason why I ask is because I dont seem to have any aspects with the planet Venus. I read a astrological profile of Mariah Carey and she does not have any aspects with the planet Venus. It was stated that Carey's romantic persona is
somewhat disconnected from the rest of her self.

mhrtwll: Saturn has little to do with a Caprocorn personality. It is as was stated a few weeks ago about the zodiacal sign expecting certain situations to occur, while the ruler of that sign brings about those situations. Refering to your example, it is only an accented Capricorn that brings about that type of character. It cannot be substituted by planetary positions or aspects, other than those the occur in that Zodiacal sign. by an accented Capricorn is meant that the sign contains the Sun and/ or the Moon, also if one has Capricorn Ascending with a planet in the 1st house. However the Sun and Moon are the chief significators of a Cap. personality.

Saturn, on the other hand, always represents; hindrnaces, restrictions, losses, hardships, collapses, and failures. Now, I can only speak concerning the Sidereal Zodiac, that the Capricorn birth days are from Jan, 15 th to Feb. 13th. This is the time of year that the Sun transits that Sidereal sign. Concerning the Moon's position, it is necessary to either consult your ephemeris or have some one do your chart.

From the Astrological implications of Saturn, we should expect to find a Capricorn person, with especially the Sun in that sign, with personality traits that can conform to the Saturn influence. We will invariably find a person who is a social climber (according to the Astrological glyph of the sign, a "Sea Goat", who often restricts others from their rightful liberties to express themselves, does not co-operate much with others ideas and programs, expects the most effort for the least reward, offers too little too late in order to correct a wrong or a default. It should be appearant that the Capricorn personality conforms to its ruler planets influence.
