View Full Version : Stimulating Your Own Lost Emotions

As I discussed in the suport thread often we get overloaded with everyone elses feelings and loose sight of where our own are at. The method I use to find my own inner voice at times like this is a pictorial thing. I look for pictures that stimulate a reaction from me. Usualy for me it's empty places, places in nature that have no people in them. Pictures that I can be alone in and experiance for myself.

http://www.mysticwicks.com/journal.php?do=showjournal&j=60#e565 (http://www.mysticwicks.com/journal.php?do=showjournal&j=60#e565)
This is the work I did to help me find my own feelings, to teach me to hear my own inner voice above the clamour of everyone elses. These are the pictures that go with my meditations.

I'd love to hear from everyone else and share some pictorial stimulations.

i'm also a little bit hesitant because i'm not sure if i want to face em and i sense that this is going to take a lot of energy .
but if i want to learn how to seperate my own feelings from others this is something i need to do,
eek dilemma !! do i make any sense? because i'm rambling and confusing myself .:bigredblu

I can fully understand the fear to face your own emotions and the hesitancy you feel at aproaching this kind of work. Every time I do this I wake something up that I feel sometimes might have been better left alone and yes it takes a whole lot of energy to do such work. You are in the position of opening up a whole can of worms that part of you feels should be kept a lid on but you can't move on if you don't take these things out of the box and look at them. I had some terribly low moments when I started this and made some discoveries about myself I really didn't like one bit but once they were out of the box and fully examined I realised none of it was as bad as it seamed.

Feel free to PM me to talk about this, you can read my journal Malkuth, Yesod, Hod and Netzach to fallow my work on the subject if it helps at all. There isn't a whole lot of help anyone else can give since this is a very personal journey but knowing someone else has been there, got through it and come out the other side can help give you a little encouragment if nothing else :D

I'd love to know (if it's not too personal) what emotion or shielding technique you get from the cans of paint.

When I saw the pick... well... they intregued me. Dunno why.

 No it's not too personal it's right there in the meditation, "the can of rainbow paint" :D It was actualy a long standing joke from my childhood. My father would always say he would send me to the shop to get a tin of rainbow paint to paint my world a happy place when I was unhappy or angry. That whole meditation is about contacting the lost child within me since she's the one who feels her own emotions the Aries child being welcomed is to stimulate my own emotions and my own feelings. The swamped empath is my Libra sun the emotions of self are my assendant signe Aries. I had kind of lost her along the way so I brought her back into my life again with that little set of pictures. The sign of venus and mars on my cheeks with the spiral on my forehead binds the two halves whole. Before that meditation I was feeling very fragmented and "like to little butter spread over too much bread" awakening those memories helped me to regroup. The rainbow paints are part of the shield in an indirrect way but an intensly personal and important way also.

I don't know if that makes sense. I sometimes I have a hard time explaining it to other people because it's so deeply seated in my core.

I have only just finished teaching the Qabalah class here on MW. I am just a little bit of a Qabalah geek yes :D. I have found the Tree of Life to be a wonderful self development tool and used it as such in me class here. I'm glad to know that someone else in here will understand why I used the sepheroth in this manour. I hope you may find the assignments from my class helpfull and insightful. I know it has truly helped me since it gave me valid markers to work towards and goals to aim for. The Tree has its own gravitational pull once you begin working with it that pulls you onward from one sepheroth to another. This is wonderful when used for personal development since it keeps you moving onwards. I hope you'll have a look over my class sometime. I have tried to make it more apealing to the Pagan people here so it does deviate some what from the regular Hebrew teachings but the core remains the same.

Yesod was probably one of the hardest things I have ever done but equaly the best thing I could ever do. To lay yourself bare to the wolves like that takes a lot of trust. I don't know that I could have done it in any other enviromet. In my class I felt comfortable enough and safe enough to let down all the shields, to take down all the baricades and set it all out bit by bit. I have not shared even half of this with anyone other than Mothy before and I knew it could leave me very vulnerable. But the fact of the matter was that my sheild was disfunctional, the cracks were already begining to show. I had to choose to take control of the demolition or end up in a nervous brakedown again. I chose to take the action myself and activly take part in it rather than letting it happen to me. My class had already been through the prosess and shared a lot of very personal things with me and I'm sure as you read the class threads and their responce to my own work you will see the incredable level of suport and understanding I got from them.

Hod turned out to be a total nightmare for me and suprisingly was a lot harder to seal with than the intensly personal experiance I had in Yesod. I don't think it it fully explained in my journal but I did go into it a little deeper in my class thread and this also helps you understand a little more about my work in Netzach.

I hope that you will feel you can relate to this work and if it does nothing more than help you as it helped me then my class has done another wonderful thing. If there is anything you don't understand, any questions you want to ask please feel free. I found something that has made a huge difference to my life and I want to share it so that it can help others like me, to help themselves. :hugz:

not pictorial but stone wise. taking darling and angry jasper can help to feel the loving kindness (darling) and the rage (angry jasper)

after having felt both extremes through a stone, we can more clearly see whart we feel
