Word of mouth...newspaper ads in the classifieds...my mom used to do it and she used word of mouth through the church we used to go to...

Local ads in the paper? Even free ones that come out to different towns?

Depending on where you live there is probably an online site for locals similar to www.monster.com..or (www.monster.com..or) post on monster.com.

Could hand out flyers and put up some ads on local billboards too.

Let the lady you are working for now that you would like to do a few more houses. See if she will recommend you to her friends and family. Make some business cards (I made mine on my computer) that she could hand out for you. And keep some with you and when your out you can give them to future clients.
