I'm looking for information on Irish reconstructionism. Not the genera Celtic that is ever so rampant.

Are there any practitioners who can point me in a good direction?

Anyone know of good resources?

Thank you!

Most Celtic Recon sites have descriptions of the various types of cultures within the general Celtic Culture. Some go into greater details, some go into less.

Try to google Irish Reconstructionism.
You just need to dig around.

I am not on my computer so I dont have any links on me, but thats what I did in general and got some resources.

Good luck :)

There are a ton of links in the history forum in the stickied Celtic links. There are also several threads here in the paths forum about it. Try those for a start. But for particular websites I suggest www.imbas.org (www.imbas.org) and www.clannada.org (www.clannada.org) (technically a Gaelic Traditionalist website, but I find those types of websites have better info). Also, since I'm bringing up GT sites, this two are excellent, http://ciarraide.org/index2.html (http://ciarraide.org/index2.html) and http://www.fhaoil-choin.org/ (http://www.fhaoil-choin.org/) .

That should be a good start for you.

I also have a thread around her on Scottish Recon that has lots of useful links for all "Celtic" Recons.

However, I think you're better off reading lots and lots of books, starting with the myths themselves.

I too am attemping to study or piece togather a Irish spiritual practice/ path. I have been studying a lot of anthropology, history, and Folk lore. There is one book that I just read "Irish Witchcraft from a Irish Witch," By Lora O'Brien. Lots of good ideas for connecting your self to the land and Irish path. So far I have notice the best authors to get relavent information are from the Scotland, Ireland, England or UK and such. Plus studying sacred sites, passages, and such. I have been checking the roots of where Druid practices came from related to Irish cosmology and symbolism. Anyway, Just a few ideas.
