Scanning?

Like other empaths checking you out ?

Does anyone know about this term?

I know what it FEELS like. It's kind of odd like you know something or someone else is in your personal space but cannot see it.

Maybe I am just a loony... :bug:

Oh yes, I scan people all the time. I shake hands alot. One to be friendly and two to scan. A scan is my way of protecting myself. I am also an animal empath and also do the same before ever touching a pet or animal anywhere. I kind of talk to animals. ( ok bring on the white coats). But I do talk to them.

Then there is an exchange too. It's pretty cool and odd all at the same time.

oh i do it all the time with animals as well,esspecially when i meet someone for the first time.
i can also notice when others are scanning me ,
or when non empaths are looking at me or trying to figure me out or something like that ,i'll always say stop looking at me and they will be like huh what ,how can you tell i was looking at you ?
they think just because i can't see them i won't be able to tell,
little do they know that i can feel them scanning me.
do i make any sense?

I'm scanning people all the time :geez: Pretty annoying, but I can't help it.
Feels like I'm intruding something.
I know when other people are trying to do it, but then I can just feel it's confusing them :lol:

The little hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I feel a distinct tingle in my head. I can also feel when someone is trying to get to far into me and I clamp down my sheilds. That to me is a no no. You want to do a scan on me fine, but ask me first if you can prob deeper. Sounds SciFi, I know but this is what I experience.

Ok, I was thinking last night after I went to bed, that I should have asked someone to describe the 'feeling' of it.

Yes, yes I have.

Usually starts at the crown, and works it's way down my body.

Mostly it was from the guy I had waited to come home, he'd do that all the time, and I always knew it was him...

I know what you mean...

I can sense when someone is trying to "poke" at me, or my shield. So far... noone that I haven't allowed to get in has gotten past though. :p

I'm guilty of doing it to other people as well. :0 It's too easy... easy way to know things without asking much... but going too far into it is a big nono.

I used to be more sensitive to that 'feeling' but have set my filters and my shields so I don't generally notice now.

And that's a big OH YEAH, never scan someone beyond the outer aura without their permission.
