I was just wondering what exactly a Familiar is.

Sounds about right to me! They are in tune with the witch and help out with magickal working, they can aid in dream or astral work, etc. A familiar can be any animal that the witch seems to have a connection with that's more than just physical, if that makes sense. It doesn't have to be a pet or an animal you can physicall touch either. Familars can be totem animals, astral familars that you meet during meditation or dreams. The most common, of course, is the black cat!
Hope that helps. :)

Is this a thread about familiars or a Final Fantasy cutscene?

You mean to say Charmed isn't a factually based program? Well I am so shocked!
Actually i have met more than one person who seems to think it is all real and demons often burst through their walls and try to kill them al the time....i hate to think how much insurance they must pay ;)
