View Full Version : Pumpkin Pie/ Cake recipes ?

Heres the thing,
I have like two boxes of Graham Crackers and some cans of pumpkin and spices. I also have teh cake supplies.

Anyone have good recipes that I can make tonight ?

Also, how do I get the smell on to clothes of fresh baked pumpkin pie ? I love that smell...

LOL I would imagine if you bought some essential oil that had the nutmeg or pumpkin spice scent, you could put a few drops (like 2 or 3 at most) into your laundry. I have a friend who does that when she runs out of softener. Not with that particular scent mind you, lol.

This isn't cake, but they are really good cookies. I got this reciepe from a magazine years ago. The kids and I would make them every year. Hope you enjoy.

Great Pumpkin Cookies

Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
2 cups flour
1 cup oats
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup pumpkin
1 cup chocolate chips or 1 cup raisins

1. Preheat oven to 350.

2. Combine flour, oats, baking soda, cinnamon & salt.

3. Cream butter, add sugar. Beat until fluffy.

4.Mix all ingredients together. Add chocolate chips last.

5. Lightly grease cookie sheet. Drop onto cookie sheet.

6. Bake 20 - 25 minutes until lightly browned.

7. Remove from cookie sheet & cool on wax paper.

8. Decorate when cooled.

I'm too slow to help you for that night.. but I did find this! You said grahams so I immediately thought crust. And voila (the internet is amazing) - I found pumpkin cheesecake!

1 box of chocolate cake mix
1 can of pumpkin

mix together, spoon into cupcake pan and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.

YUMMY treat!

My Grandmother makes Pumpkin Bread all year round. It's great with coffee and freezes well.

3 1/2 cups flour
3 cups sugar
1 tsp. each nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup cannola oil
4 eggs
2 cups canned pumpkin
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup raisins

Preheat oven 350. Mix all the dry ingredients and then mix in the rest. Pour into 2 loaf pans and bake for 50 - 60 minutes.
