I was out shopping this afternoon when I came across a brass Advent Wreath ring at the local discount store. Being the impulsive buyer that I am, I bought the wreath and now I have no idea what to do with it. Somewhere in my Internet searches I came across a Wiccan Adaption of the Advent Wreath. I have since lost the page. I feel kinda weird adapting Catholic traditions instead of Protestant ones, but we never really did anything special for Christmas except an Advent calendar, which I also bought. It is a chocolate one, so I get a piece of candy every day! . (My family never really went to church except when I was in preschool. ) Why is ity that Protestants don't have any good things that I can adapt?
Anyway, does anyone have any ideas on how I should go about doing this? I found some links on how it is used in the Catholic Relgipn andI feel that it is a beautiful thing to do, and I want to somehow adapt it to my solitary ritual.
Blessings,

my familys methodist, and have an advent wreath w/ 5 candles .. a white in the center 1 pink and 3 purple around the edge. A good adaption would be a red candle tonight or tomarrow, than next weak a black one, than next next week a silver one, and then next next next week a red one, for mother, crone, enchantress and maiden, in alighnment to (i think) the full waning new and waxing moon.

Oh. I didn't know that other Christian groups used it. I thought that it was a purely Catholic tradition. Oh well live and learn.
Anyway, that is a cool way to adapt it to the Goddess. I was thinking maybe the elementals as well, with green, yellow, blue and red candles, with a white in the middle. Perhaps I could write some form of symbolism with the three purple candles and the pink one, about how these three weeks I am awaiting the coming of Spirit (which is symbolized by the purple candles) and Love (smbolized by the pink candle. The white candle in the middle could be the purity of spirit. Hmm...)
Anyway, thank you for answering me. I appriciate it greatly.
