Well, I've been back since Saturday night, but today is my first day to have a little more time to do things. Yes, all the nervousness was for nothing!! I shoulda known!!! I got to Atlanta in time, went through the checkpoint with no problems. I was a little nervous upon takeoff, but I was okay once we were in the air. I spent a good portion of the flight looking ut the window. Once I got to Vegas, I got a shuttle to my hotel and checked in with no problems at all. I went up to my room and rested a while before Shawn came over. We crusied the casino for a while then headed to the Strip. We went eat at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay because Shawn still had a mean voucher left. Awesome food!! We kinda cruised the Strip some more then headed back downtown to walk Freemont. Around midnight we went to bed and woke up around 8 am to start the day over. We got sucked into a time share tour thingy. But hey, we did get 3 neat things out of it for only 2 hours of our day: we got to ride the roller coaster at New York New York. And Friday night, we got dinner at the Nine FIne Irishmen (awesome fish and chips). And we got to see Rita Rudner, We're also supposed to get a 3 day/2 night mini vacation, but we'll see on that one. Friday night, we walked the entire length of the strip from Mandalay Bay down to Treasure Island,
which was really only 2 1/2 miles but felt like 10!!! We hit just about all the major hotels/casinos. The only thing that sucks is some of our pictures didn't come out too well :( So if we go anywhere again, we're definitly going to invest in a digital camera. All in all, I had an awesome time!!! And I hope to go back again soon, with a little more than 3 days to do it all in!!!

Sounds like so much fun. Hubby and I need a vaction! I'd love to go to Vegas. My hubby's brother took all the wedding party members to Vegas(or I should say his wife's folks). And here we couldn't get out to Kansas to go with them. Glad y'all had fun!

Sounds like fun! I've always wanted to visit Vegas. I got back from a week in Budapest, Hungary a week ago and that was a really good trip. Now I'm planning the next...maybe I should talk to the other half about it being Vegas.

It's hard not to have a great time in Vegas. I'm going there in 2 weeks, can't wait!

Where are you staying and where are you planning on visiting while there? We learned the hard way the last day--if you're taking the CAT bus, buy the $5 day pass. You can use it over and over for 24 hours. It's normally $2.00 for a one way trip from the Strip to Downtown.

Vegas RAWKS--going there for my lil bro's b-day in November. You did a lot of walking, DW! That 2 1/2 mi is LOOOONG since it's hard to do from one side of the sidewalk--all those breezeways, causeways and bridges they make ya do!

Good to have ya back, and glad you had a good time! We go about every year/every other year or so!

Those little buses are awesome, aren't they? It's worth the $5 if you're going to be going up and down the strip like that. We usu stay closer down south, but end up going further north b/c we like the Star Trek shize at the LV Hilton.
