Question about Scrying materials

I've seen posts about black mirrors and making your own and other materials to use for scrying such as crystal balls, dark bowls or clear bowls with water and India Ink......

My question is this: Would a 12"x12" square Black Marble tile or 12"x12" square Black Ceramic tile work????

Is it reflective? If so, then sure (and maybe even if it isn't...)

They are both reflective

I can purchase one tile from the company I went to, if they happen to have an open box of it. The sample I looked at was Black Granite, and although a little on the large side for me, it looked like it would work...it's very reflective and doesn't have a lot of variations in it....
