Normally, I'm a quiet peaceful zen like person.
But lately I've been feeling a sort of connection to a god who I believe governs Anger and/ or violence.
Anyone have some ideas ? And/or rituals or prayers to honor them ?

Grab someone at random and beat the crap out of them in a fit of rage while proclaiming this god's name?
Destroy, erupt, explode. Be what you honor your god(s) with, just don't come around me while you're honoring this god.

I find that we often feel a connection to these type of gods when we don't honor part of ourselves that needs honoring or experiencing. Or even owning up to. What's going on in your life right now that you feel angry about? Or could this be past anger popping up again? What part of this god do you feel a connection to?
I would start by looking at examples in your life of where you feel angry, but you put it aside. Set up an altar to this deity and tell them what you're pissed off about. Make it good, and get into it. And see how you can integrate the quiet zenlike part of your personality with this feeling of connection to a god who governs anger.
That's my only advice, or you could follow Aidron's advice and destroy things. Although then you'll probably be honoring this god in prison. :hehehehe:

It is Mars RX - God of War and all that, it is probably creating the feeling.

Yes and Yes....
I don't think its a god connection. Sounds like you've gone and Zen'd yourself all up and forgot to be an animal. We have canine and incissors(sp?) for a reason. You shouldn't repress your primal urges all the time.
Go hit something, bet it makes you feel better. Better yet go kill something and eat it. It sounds wierd but I find the ritual of hunting something, skinning and eating it very spiritual.
So I dunno, could be a god of the hunt or some other archtypical diety of that nature...or just violence; in which case good luck with that.

I agree with Malcom...go kill something and eat it. Don't forget your primal nature. And if it is a god connection....go kill something and eat it still:)

Its all in how you cook it. Onions usually get rid of the "gamey" taste.
You toss some venison in a pan that was just used to sautee some onions...man thats good eatin. Mix in some mashed potatoes and sweet corn, and you've got one helluva meal.

Interesting you came up with him. He's the Greek god of war, and I go to THE greek school in my state.

Soaking the fresh meat in cold milk for about an hour or so before final preparation really helps in the removal the 'wild' taste (especially for venison)...

To embrace all emotions is understanding all of them. You cant have one without the other. How can you know anger without also knowing serenity?
As for deities...why not honor all their aspects as you should honor all of your own?
We need the opposites, we need the balances...you cant have balance without the opposites!!

Seriously, I have known people out of emotional balance...so angry all the time they dont even realize it! They are yelling and screaming and have no clue they are doing that!
People so hooked on love, they dont even see when they are being terribly used. People who are so much obsessed with helping other they even go to far and hurt themselves by doing things like giving away their own bill money and they cant pay the electric bill!
Heck look at depression...it can eat you up.

the ultimate challenge for a warrior is to lay down their sword. (no, im not preaching peace either, its an acknowledgment)
take it as you will. don't fight it, embrace it.
as wind blows through a wheat field, let it flow through your veins.
anger and violence are very useful tools with a lot of lessons to teach.
as for an honoration, the sun touches dew on a leaf. that is what came into my consciousness,
a definition: im not sure at the moment.:wtf:
meditate on this, i will.

To the people discussing Venison; I was having a discussion on this at school the other day on the taste and ways to get rid of the gamey taste...:broomride

How many fights you been in Findarto?
I'm not trying to talk sh!t or anything. Warior spirituality is one thing. Curiosity is another. Fighting is pain. There is nothing romantic about it.
I will say this, when knuckle cracks the bone you will feel alive....for a moment. Later you'll be sore and your hands will hurt. Your flesh will have scars, and those aren't appealing...they wil lalways remind you that you could've handled that situation better.
The idea of being the "tough guy" is romantic, but tough guys never get the girl. I f you do, she isn't one that will stay around long.
